Later Angie.
So now onto picture issues, what color kick plates do I want? :p

XwChriswX 08-11-2009 12:37 PM

Night Angie! :hello:

Dreamer - What color is your car?

theDreamer 08-11-2009 12:38 PM

PG, I was just going to buy the stock ones, keep the entire interior the same orange-ish color. I was thinking of doing a full tear down and replace the LEDs with a different color, but I think it would be to much.

XwChriswX 08-11-2009 12:39 PM

Do you have/Plan to have an aftermarket head unit?

TX_370 08-11-2009 12:41 PM

Sup Sup Sup

theDreamer 08-11-2009 12:41 PM

Yep, but taking my time with that upgrade. Some days I really am close to ordering it and others I feel I do not need it. Currently I have the base stereo and just play all my music from the AUX port, never really touch the MP3 player. I rarely need nav, but I know if I did get it I would use it (would get one with traffic updates and such).

Plus to install it I have to go to Austin to have a friend do it, he does all my electrical car work.

phelan 08-11-2009 12:44 PM

I loved the XM Navigation, but I wish it was cheaper D:

XwChriswX 08-11-2009 12:57 PM

The reason I ask is because what colors are the lights/controls on it? Perhaps try to get your lighting to match that, since it would give it symmetry and make it look as if it was supposed to be there... Give your interior a 2 tone look, and should you decide to do the full swap later, your already halfway done...

TX_370 08-11-2009 01:03 PM

On the Kenwood unit I have, you can change the colors on it. I set mine to orange to match the other dash lights. I don't have any pics available at the moment but if you want I can post some up later.

phelan 08-11-2009 01:04 PM

I used to have a pioneer avic-d3 unit that you could change the colors with as well. Too bad all of the button's don't work anymore...bleh.

TX_370 08-11-2009 01:06 PM

blue660r01 08-11-2009 01:24 PM

whoops I went into the wrong thread thinking it was this one haha

xiven 08-11-2009 01:26 PM

I think I'm going with the Kenwood unit that AK put in. Seems like it'll do everything I need it to do. It'll be nice to be able to consolidate my gps and satellite all into one unit.

Nothing yet. I forwarded the email to my contact guy. I'm waiting to hear back from him.

Some of the people who are having issues have received their items, but they were damaged. I'm nervous about that too.

blue660r01 08-11-2009 01:36 PM

Report their asses!

cow 08-11-2009 01:36 PM

Once I've received my product, I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

theDreamer 08-11-2009 01:39 PM

See now the problem is they are shipping something, which means they may say, "Well we shipped him the item, so not our fault it is damaged..."

Then, "No refunds..blah blah blah."

cow 08-11-2009 01:43 PM

Yeah. Exactly.

It'll be taken care of, though. The woman sitting directly behind me here at work is an attorney & said she'd help out if necessary.

blue660r01 08-11-2009 01:45 PM

I hear they do that to people all the time with the damaged still saying its not their problem

cow 08-11-2009 01:46 PM

Yeah. If my piece is damaged, it WILL be their problem.

TX_370 08-11-2009 01:47 PM

What did you order?

cow 08-11-2009 02:11 PM

rear diffuser

Caravanshaka 08-11-2009 02:32 PM

get'em cow!

hopefully it will come in undamaged though, just so you don't have to deal with it anymore.

cow 08-11-2009 02:36 PM

I'm hoping, but not optimistic.

TX_370 08-11-2009 02:40 PM

There is always the chance you are bringing yourself down like this only to find out the part has come in undamaged.

I do see your strategy, bring yourself down for disappointment now so you dont have to deal with it later :stirthepot:

I'm not a "brace for the worse" guy as I agree with the below quote that it leads to happiness with mediocrity. Just, given MG's track record, I won't be surprised if it's screwed.

Better not wait too long to take action before they pull the plug on the business. Just never know.

That's a bad sign cow.
I wouldn't wait for them to deliver. Waited long enough, just sue them with the other customers that got screwed like you did.
