Last night, I emailed a different account at MG (instead of using the "sales@mastergrademotorsports.com" email address to handle service issues, there's a mastergrademotorsport@yahoo.com, a mastergrademotorsports@gmail.com, etc) with a copy of all the correspondence I pasted here yesterday & an ultimatum of a refund or tracking number by 7PM Central Standard time tomorrow or I'd join a suit filed & file a complaint with IC3.gov (FBI/ White Collar Crime Division).

I haven't yet received a reply, but a guy who's also having issues with MG & I have been comparing notes & he got a reply last night around midnight. He mentioned me in his email & Boomer at MG acknowledged my order & said both our orders would be shipped at the same time.

Boomer, the apparent owner of MG, told my contact he wasn't aware of any issues on my350z, which we now know is a bold-faced lie (he only referred to himself in emails with my guy as "The owner" until he was asked outright if he was Boomer, which he then confirmed).

Apparently my contact, the guy who's filed a suit against MG, was ALSO told by Boomer that he'd ship a CF roof overlay, front diffuser, rear diffuser, & CF hood to prove that MG was a good company & hopefully help clear its name. All my guy had to do was pay $400 shipping & the parts would be free.

I told contact guy he probably shouldn't send any money as we've both been lied to & have caught MG in lies at least twice. Who's to say he won't be out $400 more & won't get jack?

xiven 08-11-2009 10:51 AM

moo

cow 08-11-2009 10:54 AM

Moo.

By the way, everyone-- thanks for listening to me gripe about my issues with MG. It feels good to bitch to someone who understands.

Mornin all :tiphat:

nogoodname 08-11-2009 10:59 AM

To bad we both are not close by to MG.
We could roll together there and demand a refund.

From me....to you.....:icon08:

nogoodname 08-11-2009 11:19 AM

From me to Takeda intakes.... :icon08:

Check theDreamer dyno
-2hp & +1 lbs

theDreamer 08-11-2009 11:21 AM

Yep, nothing changed, other than my A/F ratio is lower which could help with tuning maybe, but not sure as I am not sure on certain things.

nogoodname 08-11-2009 11:27 AM

That's disappointing. Like 400-500 bucks for no power gain.

XwChriswX 08-11-2009 11:29 AM

Sounds like Injen might be a good route? I dunno if I wanna do Stillens...?

Intake - 300
Two dynos 90x2 - 180
Total gains = -2
I am not really all that sad, yes some people are going to come in and be like, aww that sucks, well whatever. Maybe the battery should have be reset, maybe with a tune I will get above average numbers down the road. Just going to find the next item to add to the list and go from there.

Caravanshaka 08-11-2009 11:49 AM

ouch, -2 =(

Cow, keep us in the loop on the MG issues, would be nice to see some sort of resolution there. good luck

XwChriswX 08-11-2009 11:53 AM

I'm sure it was just the Dyno being busted... no way you Lost HP with an airflow improovement. Blame the Dyno!! :stirthepot: lol

wow what intake did u get? how come it became loss of hp?

Caravanshaka 08-11-2009 12:00 PM

it sucks hot air, without cold air reaching it won't make much of an improvement. I expected a little gain though :(

theDreamer 08-11-2009 12:01 PM

I do not think it was the fact it was pulling hot air, the A/F ratio is over 1 which means there is no way I could gain power. If I could balance it out back to stock with the same intake (Takeda) I am sure there would be a few HP gain, but I need a tune to do that.

Caravanshaka 08-11-2009 12:11 PM

that should have been tuned by the tubing diameter of the intake. If it is causing your A/F ratios to become more rich, they didn't do their research/testing.

theDreamer 08-11-2009 12:13 PM

Yep, also I am not trying to defend these things, I would not buy them again, but they are on and will stay for the time until I figure some things out with what is going on.

Caravanshaka 08-11-2009 12:16 PM

+rep for the intiative to order and do the testing on these things!

Hopefully you can figure something out that will give you increases with the setup.

theDreamer 08-11-2009 12:17 PM

Maybe, but from seeing these (SRI) and others similar I think that if you want gains without a tune you have to go Stillen or maybe the new Injen system. Will a tune help? Maybe, but I definitely am not going to bet on it.
