Yeah I've had some like that too. To a large degree it just depends on the cop who spots you, but another big factor is how safely you're driving. A lot of cops are pretty pragmatic about coming down hard on guys who are recklessly weaving traffic, but letting off those that are speeding relatively safely on open stretches.
