Need Help buying car online

hey guys, i need your help to buy a car online.

the car was listed on ebay, and they had their website 'http://www.advantagecars.com/' listed, furthermore they are located in Houston, TX...

i found the car i wanted, but how do i know if they are a legit company? i spoke to the guy there, everything is okay, they ran my credit and all, and they said they will ship it to me as soon as i wire them the money and fill out all the paper works.

so could anyone please confirm if they are a real company, or if someone that lives there and knows about them, could you please confirm.

What car are you getting? I've never bought a car online like that so I can't help you with that, sorry.

If you can, you should fly over there and check out the car in person. I would never buy a car without seeing it first. Dealers use old pics all the time and if it has some significant differences from what's on the listing then you find out before buying the car rather than after. Good luck!

I did some light recon. Lol. Seems legit, but perhaps ask some of our Houston members for better verification. Maybe a Houston member will roll up & check the car as well?

Don't do it! It may be a scam!
Long story short!--Guy finds his dream car on line--talks to man on line(owner in Ohio) about buying the car. Dream car guy wires the money to buy the car......he waits and waits.......no car!
The man in Ohio, was actually in Greece! The internet connection ran from Greece to Canada to Ohio. Sophisticated scam!
My wifes Police Department took the report. Dream car man lost $64,000.00!

Yeah if you get it, fly there and do the deal in person. Have them ship the car afterwards.

Thanks Dad for the advice, i hope someone from Houston can shed some light on these guys. i searched online and read reviews, everyone is saying good stuff, but still i'm wiring $40k so i don't want to take the slightest risk in this.

worst comes to worst, i'll fly over the weekend.
