Yeah, I heard about this yesterday, and it really blew me away. If I remember correctly, it's not even in the possability stage; it PASSED. I think it's insane that they're outlawing a COLOR.

This is such a pussy state!

Default Crazy

This seems too crazy to be true.

I'd guess there would be some type of grandfather clause in the deal......meaning if you had a black car before the law passed you'd be okay? Or maybe you'd now owe the state a yearly fee?

Yikes

the funny thing is doest the a/c use the same amount of gas if its on high or low? i think the only difference in temp between a white car and a black is one car the a/c in on low the other is on med. using the same amount of gas. maybe they should have just outlawed long sleeves and pants! we could just roll around in swimming suites

they should just pass legalizing weed... the revenue that they get from that will allow them to fund anything they want to solve this gas "issue"...

So this happened from paint investigation and nutjob conservative commentators. AHHH! Their gonna take our guns next!

Quote:
When word got out that CARB couldn’t find a reflective version of deep black paint that suited its needs, auto enthusiast blogs and conservative commentators smelled another “kooky California” story — or “out-of-control government” expose, take your pick — and jumped in with relish.

Nogood wont like that listed below. I guess Pearl white wins the ultimate battle

Quote:
The fact that black is the second most popular color among car owners in the U.S. — behind white — helped stoke the outrage. .”

Haha, my buddy is like this - he owns 30+ rifles, and anytime someone new who is even remotely anti-guns, he starts ranting about the most EXTREME interpretation of whatever their stance is on gun ownership.

IE: New senator wants stricter gun control laws, checking licenses more or more thorough background checks when purchasing one.

Friends interpretation: Senator hates weapons and anything to do with them, and somehow in some mysterious way its infringing his second amendment rights by potentially blocking his ability to purchase ANOTHER weapon to add to his collection (even if it may prevent many people who SHOULDNT be purchasing one, from getting one...).

Yes, he's a classic NRA member who thinks we're the "last line of defense" for the country when "the **** hits the fan".
