Downloaded the demo and ran through the events. Not particularly impressed -- I couldn't tell if there was an improvement in the visuals from GT5, but the framerate certainly seemed worse.

So I started GT5 back up and ran some laps on Nurburgring with a Caterham. Much funner than running laps in Silverstone with the demo 370z.

One thing I did notice is they haven't improved the shift recognition for the Fanatec CSR H-pattern shifter. I'll probably have to go to the sequential, but I was hoping they'd improve the support.

anyone tackled the Bonus Lap of Silverstone in the NISMO GT3 GTR yet? I got it down to a 2:06 but thats where im stopping as I cant do any better without purposely trying to slide around every corner and thats not realistic and I hate thats what the top times in the competition have become

I ended up with a 2:21 on the Qualifier and again I drove my *** off to get that the way I would drive it in real life not hitting the E brake and sliding through every turn.. I tried to do that just to see and in the turns I was able to pull it off I was way ahead of my ghost car so it makes sense to me how some of the "top" time are what they are

Thats what I don't like. The competition focuses everything on best time not on legal driving practices and saving tires.

Awesome setup. I'm jelly. I already have the same wheel. I want to upgrade though to the g27.

I preordered from gamestop and its somewhere in the mail. Should have it monday or Tuesday.

What's your first impressions?
