I like the Onkyo but they start doing weird things after a few years (I've had 2). Next time around I'm going for the Yamaha.

Yamaha i will look into i guess i just never got past i had one in high school and it seemed to "every one has one" But i do need alot of HDMI ports might be adding an x-box to the line up so I have all the gaming consoles.

My complaint about that one is that the spring loaded connections for the center and rear channels will eventually break, and it is a little short on digital audio connections.

Also do your research on the forums, there were a couple of models that had a HDMI issue that was a large delay in the video stream making it unusable for gaming. The issue could be worked around by using pass through mode. I'm sure they've fixed it on the new models but something to look for if buying an older model.

Hmm, I havent had any problems with anything. The video loads practically instantly for me from my Bluray or my XBox...

The problem was on specific models, yours may not be affected. The delay is only a frame or 2 but that is enough to peeve the hardcore gamer, you wouldn't notice on a movie.
