Shumbz, as an oil worker, do you think it's worth it to go to NoDak for a year and work on the wells there for say 80k?

Chris to "launch" the 7AT I hold my foot on the brake, press on the gas and hold it at the desired rpm, let go of brake and floor it.

I tried adjusting my launch and even lowering tire pressure a bit but it didn't help. Was getting 1.9-2.0 range 60 ft times at Cecil and 2.0-2.2 at Capital.

Isamu, I want to go to an actual road course too. I will definitely like it better than drag racing, but it is more expensive and will require some prep mods (brake pads, brake fluid, oil cooler). Aiming to go in the spring

80K but what would you be doing and what would your rotaion be. You have to make sure you know you will get days off or they will take advantage and you will do nothing but work. So what kind of job in the patch you looking at. 80K is entery level.

Hmm, What RPMs do you get slippage at? Trying to figure this out myself, and don't really have an open straightaway to work at.

I'd love to road course vs drag myself... I think its a more all encompassing test than a drag strip...

I has many pms... and I do mass deletes unless its for a current project lol might need it again.

b1adesofcha0s 09-06-2011 09:32 PM

I've found that around 1500 rpm works best. You need to adjust a little higher or lower to find what works best under the track conditions at the time.
