All kidding aside, Lemers, this sounds like a really fun road trip. I hope you have a great time!

Lemers 08-16-2011 10:15 AM

Thanks I'm excited. My parents are meeting me. This series is kinda a family tradition from when I was a kid living in San Antonio. So I'm meeting my dad there too.

ipitythefoo 08-16-2011 01:02 PM

:hello:

ipitythefoo 08-16-2011 01:09 PM

Is this thread pretty active?

ipitythefoo 08-16-2011 01:10 PM

I put on my cousin's stock 370 sport wheels on my G yesterday with my spacers on. Ended up sticking out a whole inch hahaha.

sexZness 08-16-2011 01:18 PM

Did the crickets give you a good indicative of how dead this thread is?... Lol

shadoquad 08-16-2011 01:21 PM

Neener! How's it going?

ipitythefoo 08-16-2011 01:23 PM

Ahaha assuming that you don't have a new thread every month I'm assuming it's dead here.

It is right now. It can get pretty active sometimes.

Spending money on other ****.

ipitythefoo 08-16-2011 01:32 PM

I'll take some pics once I get my spacers off because one nut is stripped. I'm just trying tire sizes. About to order some volk g2s. Trying to figure out my tire sizes.

Cool. Do you have the coupe or sedan? Before buying my car in January, I was thinking about getting a G37 coupe and wondered how those wheels would look on it.

ipitythefoo 08-16-2011 01:56 PM

I have a blue Coupe. Lou @ ampd has them and they are awesome. Offsets are weak on my car though. 10.5 +35 would be flush

I have 255 F / 295 R and no rub. 1" drop all around on K&W V3's, the fronts are a bit stretched but I thats because my wheel offsets are for a G not a Z. And Mich. doesn't make a 265 for a 19" I think?

Still looks great though.

I have a G haha. Your fenders are huge compared to mine. I'm on hks coilovers not very low either.

Oh aiight, fair enough. Although, whatever size you decide to get, Michelin SS' are win.

ipitythefoo 08-16-2011 04:25 PM

I don't mind beefy tires. Probably 255/40 and 275 or 285/35

Hmm... By Elvis? He practically causes Database Errors from his 500 million Vossen threads... and would you believe I think only 1 of them is of a Z...? go figure... :ugh2:

Yes sir I shall. What do you think? 285/35 or 275/35. I can't go much lower than I am so I gotta fill that gap.

Well with either of those you'll have the same tire height. You're talking about width with those numbers. And in that sense, if you're looking to boost power, then go with the 285. If you're planning to do nothing more than basic bolt ons, the 275's will be fine. The problem with the Mich. SS' is price. :ugh2:

No, I don't think that one graced our pages. But we had a few Mercedes SUV's... :ugh2:

255/40 and 285/40 have almost the same diameter. 275/35 is within 4% haha.
