Hey lemers. My boy won his hockey league championship. The team that is always hitting illegally didn't make it to the finals.

That's awesome. I bet that teams parents tried crying that what ever team beat them had overaged kids on the team.

does that actually happen?

A cat has 32 muscles in each ear.

The Eisenhower interstate system requires that one mile in every five must be straight. These straight sections are usable as airstrips in times of war or other emergencies.

ClemsonWill 05-25-2011 06:39 AM

I've never even heard of the Eisenhower interstate. Google here I come!

Everytime my kids' football teams beat another team you would hear the comments. Our final win of my nine year old tourney a mother actually walked by with her high schooled saying "go say hi to you class mates".

Last year my 11 year olds team hit a kid so hard he didn't get up when the opposing coach (also the hurt kids dad) went to check on him he yelled to the ref that "his team wouldnt be getting hurt if he had fake birth certificates too". That was said right in front of our sideline and our parents got pissed.

So yeah it happens. Very few people come over and say you have a good team or nice game. They claim you cheated if they don't win.

A widespread urban legend states that one out of every five miles of the Interstate Highway System must be built straight and flat so as to be usable by aircraft during times of war; this is not true.

Lemers 05-25-2011 08:01 AM

The Eisenhower interstate system is the interstate system in the US that we all know and love today. It was pushed by pres Eisenhower because during WWII he like the autobahn that the Germans had built. We use it as our main mean of ground traffic, but its national defense propose is to move tanks and troops across great distances.

Before the interstate system the US only has small nonstandard state roads and travel would have taken forever for the military to defend against an invading enemy.

ClemsonWill 05-25-2011 08:22 AM

Yeah, I figured that out. I had never heard it called the Eisenhower Interstate system. You learn something new every day.

Lemers 05-25-2011 09:24 AM

You still see signs I. Some parts of the US that have the 5 stars and Eisenhower on it.

I have never seen that before. I'm definitely going to look for them in the future.

Lemers 05-25-2011 09:33 AM

Yup that's the sign.

ClemsonWill 05-25-2011 09:36 AM

KaienZ34 05-25-2011 10:14 AM

I'm sick of it honestly. If my boys didn't want to play, I would be happy to never go to a kids game again. Sad.
