One of my Christmas presents from my wife. I'm about to break the seal and give it a try. It's reputed to be superb.

Back at ya, boss.

And just to be clear. That is an integrated tube hybrid amp. Contains four 12AU7 tubes and I rewired it with Caress Litz wire and Clarity caps. Sounds amazing. Speakers shown are AAD 2001 by Phil Jones. Also amazing. Have a pair of Monitor Audio GS10 as well that I used for home theatre stuff and also fully rewired and internally dampened.

Yes. I'm an audiophile nerd. :)

So does anyone else subscribe to Birchbox? I've found some pretty cool things in there. Some of it's kinda 'meh', but it's nice to be able to try out crazy expensive stuff before you buy it.

I'll bet whatever you put down as an deposit on any item winds up as a credit towards the purchase of something. Which is cool in a way. But if you hate everything then you've just forfeited all that money. Soooo.....:ugh2:

It's really a pretty good deal. I think it's $20 / mo. and in this box I got a Jack Black moisturizer I like (sample will probably last 2 months), some after shave I like (big bottle - probably last 6 months), couple of cologne samples and towelettes I didn't like (gave to my assistant's kid) and a pair of Tommy John underwear ($30 retail). So I feel like I came out ahead.

The Jack Black stuff rocks. I have the Industrial Hand lotion and the lighter body lotion and the Turbo Wash shower stuff. I come out of the bathroom smelling like a million bucks. Love it. the turbo wash, being $60 for a big bottle, sounds expensive, but when it only takes one to one and a half pumps for an entire shower it turns out to be a great deal. Highly recommend to anyone.

But when it comes to shaving I only go with The Art of Shaving products. But only because it actually works well with my skin type.

Finer thing - just gave my wife a weekend in Manhattan as bday gift... her response, "don't you even know me! it's too cold and there's no movie premiers that weekend" good grief, I think she's spoiled... $3K down the drain, it was non-refundable

I have good news for you!!!

Ungrateful wives are returnable. It costs a bit, but is sounds like it might be worth it.

Yeah, that's pretty rough. That sounds like the kind of stuff relationships end over.

 The speakers suck on these flat screens. I'd love to get some sort of decent system. I was cruising some sites the last few days trying to get some ideas.
