It really depends on my mood and everyone has their own individual preferences.
The "neat" purists are too rigid and absolute in their position. Sometimes I like a cube or two, sometimes I don't. It often depends on whether it's a hot summer day, or if I'm cozying up by the fire. For some whiskeys, a little water "opens up" the flavour.
You might not enjoy Glenlivet Nadurra 16 without a splash of water. It's cask strength. |
