Just like the chocolate, it's only like 14 states. How do you not have alaska as a travel destination? :icon17:

Apparently they didn't find any 5 star locations (restaurants and hotels) there, or they haven't looked yet. The Moosehead Lodge didn't make the cut?

frost 05-28-2012 01:04 PM

I'll have you know that I didnt think of that, and we probably dont have a single 5-star location.

Yea, 4 stars seem to abound in almost every location. 5 star is rare, if the rating is accurate. This is a Forbes site and travel listing, so I would assume the ratings are accurate. I know that we happen to have 2 here, the Sanctuary at Kiawah Island and the Woodlands Inn, both in the Charleston Metro area................ and I would concur, both are 5 star.

the CF has the advantage of being fully non-metallic too, so i can take it through the airport no problem. i'm leaning towards it as well.

dunno if it makes a 'ricer' fashion statement though ahahahaah

frost 06-17-2012 01:15 PM

titanium will also scratch up imho

phelan 06-17-2012 01:15 PM

i think both will scratch up if you put it in the same pocket as your keys.

Not a bad plan, I have too many $100 bills in mine to add any credit cards unfortunately

:bowrofl:

I actually have a very slim wallet that holds my drivers license in a see thru window, and has 2 card pockets, one for my debit card and one for my credit card. It's almost like not carrying a wallet it's so thin.

frost 06-17-2012 01:31 PM

It seems like we have had this discussion before, but since I wanted a very skinny wallet, I ended up going with a mighty wallet.

Funny, because I've had pretty pricey wallets before, and no one has ever said anything. But this thing gets compliments ALL the time

I use the All-Ett half leather, half sailcloth. I used the full sailcloth, but it was a little crackly and wore out pretty quickly at the seams. The leather seems to be holding up better at the expense of some weight and a little thickness.

RMW 07-05-2012 09:55 PM

Heya Jetguy. Peter from Real Mens Wallets here.

Am I to understand you bought a tough stitch diamond stingray from us? Would be keen to know your thoughts when it arrives.

By the way, the pic you posted is a stonker of a wallet and one of my favorites :)

cheers

heya Frost. thanks for that.
We've just finished a run of "tough stitched" shark wallets. We have more "polished" stingray wallets coming in the next few weeks.

Tobacco and the Soul

I recommend this short piece. And I feel that this thread is where it would be best put.

Interesting read. I don't know if I agree with all the points, but I do know that cigars has a calming effect that I find "good for the soul."

Good stuff in there. I breezed passed a picture of an AC Cobra; which I absolutely love. I think that may be my dream car.

Same here, great minds :p

I was looking for that muscle roadster feel with modern handling and amenities when I bought the M roadster.......... of course no where close to an AC Cobra, but a great fun daily driver regardless.

There are a couple cool looking suits in there. I can't get too funky here. I was told that my fashion is too "lower 48" and it's very obvious to everyone who sees me that I'm not an Alaskan. I guess I should be walking around in jean shirts with a tie

I'd be like, "so, what's your problem?" OK, off topic, back to the Finer Things :p
