Yeah, but 3/4 of that volume is ice, which you don't drink anyway. I'm willing to bet the 916 mL is only 400 mL of liquid.

they were going for class? since when?

to me, every other coffee shop (coffee bean & tea leaf especially) exudes more class than sbux.

Please tell me this is in total jest, because grande is large in italian as well.

And yes, Starbucks was, and maybe still is going for class. But when you standardize your design over 10,000 stores, that's something you can never obtain.
