hey i was wondering.. if you get suspended for fighting in high school does it affect your chances at getting into college at all? like my friends son just got 5 days and someone told him hes gonna have to make his c's b's and his b's a's if he wants the same chance as the other kids now? can anyone confirm this or is it all jus mumbo jumbo? like don't they erase your record at 18 and you get to start new? and would a uni/college actually car about a fight in high school?

I was suspended from high school 5 times, had moderate grades (nothing special) and was even arrested off campus and almost expelled. I got into college no problem.

Your friend has nothing to worry about.

I DID go to college and specialized in VERY specific computer skills that you're not going to get by getting a general education! I think we went over this in another thread.

It doesn't matter how much trouble I got into when was a minor, my record was wiped clean the day I turned 18. I still kick up dust, but not like I used to.

It doesn't take brains to get into college, just will power.

EDIT: By the way, I'm not doing bad as is... And I'm working from home! It pays to be the best at what you do!

i got suspended so many damn times i cant remember. threw my desk at the chemistry teacher in 11th grade and broke his atom display after he threw my bookbag out in the hall.... beat a dude with a plastic hockey stick in PE after he checked me from behind playing some ghey indoor hockey game..... and about 50 random times for my pants not being "pulled up" enough to the reverse racist school staff's desires . bunch of other stuff too.....

i got into private college and drive a GT-R at 29 ... take that davie high school

but seriously 11 years later my GF is a teacher and they are pretty strict now. any fights at the school she teaches at and they get the police involved so things might be different now

i dont think id make it if i had to go back to HS

various things. i mainly do online truckload tracking for a transportation management firm late at night.. then maybe a little $ in forums here and there but more or less break even on that. my goal is to just have that help pay for car related costs

so i think i turned out good despite a fair share of suspensions..

My first day at my 1st grade school, I kicked the principle. I was the school bully even though I was the smallest kid in the class. I pushed kids down stairs and stole lunches.

In Jr. High I sold smoke bombs and stink bombs to kids and then pushed them to waste them buy throwing in class rooms during session.

High School was a completely different story. My friends and I were really good friends with all the deans and we got away with a LOT but I still ended up getting suspended quite a bit. It was good times, though.
