Who picked a copy today? I only played it for a few hours before. I'm so hooked on this game. The single player campaign is insane. I haven't touched the muliplayer yet.

What do you guys think about it?

I've heard it's really good. I'm a huge fan of BF2, so I might have to get the new game.

I still play BF 1942

On pc? the original? People still play the original? Wow. I remember when that game first game out. I think it was the first of its kind to have 64 players with vehicles and massive maps

Yep the origonal on PC. Theres a few servers but I can't log onto them anymore for some reason so I mess around against the AI.

Playing on PC, tag is nutinmuch :)

The demo was cool. If I wasnt so strick on myself with saving money then I would go pick up a copy. All I play is MW2. Looks good, I need to set up a Block Buster account so I can rent it.

I pre-ordered mine and will pick it up at 3pm today... I am a little worried about the online, but I just hope its as good as BF 1942, or at least better than MW2.

I played during the Beta phase and got hooked. I just downloaded the game yesterday and its so much smoother than the Beta. BF2 has always been one of my fav FPS games. CoD is just too fast pace for me...besides I like to snipe =)

Hopefully I'll get around to picking this up soon. I had a ton of fun playing BF:BC, and even more fun playing BF:1943. Something about that physics engine makes sniping a lot of fun.

Plus, in 1943 I'd get ~40 kills per round with the airplane... :happydance:

Falling sniper rifle bullets + super weak weapon damage + no prone = no thanks

Graphics are nice though. I played the beta through steam then got a refund :D

So get head shots! Takes some time to get good, but nothing beats elevating the shot, leading it, and hitting the idiot in the head. :tup:

Played this thing last night on the ps3....

I like this game a lot, took a while to get used to the walking... feels as though the guy walks on syrup, when compared to COD4.

Other than that, love it. fun, great maps, things break, shooting down trees in a tank is what its about.

recommend it to everyone

Nah I'll just stick with mw2 for now. No dedicated servers sucks, but at least my bullets go where I point, and it doesnt take half an ak clip to kill someone. BC2 seems like a good game, but it's not for me =/

Will b getting this for pc probably this weekend.

Bulletdrop isn't noticeable unless you are sniping, really -- and a game like BC2 would be completely broken with AWP-like rifles.

Also you should play hardcore mode. A couple shots kill from virtually every gun.

I only play PC games.

I wish I could get on to play this friggin game but nothing but network problems. I am really pissed at EA and also would like to get my money back because I have played maybe 2 hours of this game since it was released.

Just picked up the PC copy, going to install later tonight.

Just installed it. It never asked to set up an account during the install and in the game it seems like there is no where to set one up either, so I'm just staring at a menu screen... what gives?

anyone else notice how ridiculously hard it is to rank up, unlock stuff? Granted i only played it for 2 hours so far, but i havent even been promoted yet, lol

OK, so I had some firewall issues... cleared that up and I'm about to give it a go.

How does it compare to MW2? Just wondering.

MW2 is much faster paced with smaller maps. This one has larger maps (slightly) and seems to be more dynamic. Getting used to it... though I have to say it's not quite what I expected.

I think the best modern warfare FPS of recent memory was Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising (and Escalation). Huge maps with huge servers and a solid balance of vehicles... I could sit in a map for hours and hours on end in that game!

I've only put 6 hours on the game so far and I'm up to Rank 9. I play recon 95% of the time and I've already unlocked the M95. I'm better than average compared to your run of the mill FPS player though, so my results may not be typical.

MW2 is a toned down quake in a modern setting. BC2 is a Battlefield game with destructible environments. Past both being shooters set in a psuedo-modern period you can't compare the two at all. For what it is worth I've racked up most of my FPS hours in CS:S and I like it a bunch.

**** man I need to get on your squad, I actually played a bit today and ranked up twice, im a 3 now, i might have just needed to shake off some rust, once i got the concept of the games im starting to get more exp.

So can you go prone? I don't see any keys mapped for it and it doesn't look like it's even an option... kind of lame if you ask me.

BTW my BC2 name is m4a1mustang... lol

So the UI is glitchy and there are tons of server problems. I keep getting kicked minutes after joining a game for some problem they have with Punkbuster. Sometimes you can't even get into a game... very frustrating.

My stats keep getting erased and i lose weapons/gadgets that i have unlocked due to server issues. The game is awesome though. Its like MW2 but with team work and vehicles.

Yeah, I just was able to get into a pretty good game. When people work together the battles are intense.

Was just in a big firefight in a snowy village. I was holed up in a barn with some of my team and others were in adjacent buildings. We were trying to advance but forward progress was halted by an enemy fighting vehicle. VERY intense battle. The destructive environment is ridiculous... the entire barn and one of the houses were eventually leveled entirely because of the fighting. And it's cool seeing trees fall because they were hit by some heavy rounds.

Just wish I could f'ing go prone!!!

the spotting is really cool too. i was playing with my friend and he spotted a sniper in the upstairs window of a really far building. he was pinning us down. I peeked out, let out a few bursts with the xm8 and he was done. Saving private ryan style.

I also like how the pistols are actually useful. unlike mw2 where they are like pea shooters.
