Default A questions for you Turbo Tax users!

Hey Guys,

I'm about to get started with Turbo Tax and do my taxes. Do all Turbo Tax editions enable you to plug in the new car purchase as a deduction? There is a free one, deluxe, premier, home & business, and business editions on their site. All i need is the premier edition since i do a little bit of stocks but I'm wondering if i need to upgrade to a higher edition to be able to make the new car purchase deduction. Thanks for your help.

I haven't done my taxes yet this year, but I use Turbo Tax, and for something as standard as the new car purchase deduction, it shouldn't matter which version you use. Turbo Tax can't exclude you from a deduction you're entitled to by law because of what version of their software you use. If you're using the premier edition, that should definitely cover everything you need.

EDIT- just did my taxes (haha, i have a very simple filing), and yes, you're asked about the new car purchase when going through your deductions. no worries.

Sort of OT, but if you belong to a bank or credit union, log on to their website as many offer a substantial discount if you use their link. I usually get at least 25% off through both US Bank and USAA.
