I agree, all the movies like that really about confronting racism by showing how absurd it is. Can Mel Brooks be a racist yes, is he I think not!

The problem is apparently very few people can understand the difference between “not being politically correct” vs just being a racist or sexist or insert whatever here ist.

Too many folks get way too sensitive about sh1t.

The best worst one is “words matter”. Now, do words matter, of course, but you’d think by some folks reaction that the words punched them in the taint.

I grew up with the saying “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me”.

Words only hurt If you let them. Also, if someone talks shi1t to you, give it right back, and if it goes way too far, don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself.

We’ve politically corrected our society to the point that everyone is offended by everything and it gets taking as “traumatizing “. Which just cheapens what real trauma actually is.

Plus nobody stands up for themselves anymore, they expect an authority figure to do it for them. Bullying in school is the perfect example of this. It’s fvcking embarrassing. :shakes head:

There’s two ways to go through life, one is to compare yourself to others and their lives/possessions, the other is to just focus on your life, goals etc and to find joy in the things you get yourself.

Most people are the former, the path to true happiness lies with the latter.

Ever been around shallow insecure rich people, it doesn’t matter how much they have, the only way they find happiness is to know they have more than you and since there’s always someone richer than them, what they have is never enough. They are some of the most miserable angry sad humans on the planet, yet in theory these folks should be loving and enjoying their great lives but they can’t. Very sad. :shakes head:

Fvck that, those prices are insane, there’s just no value there imo. I get it if you are already established, family, job etc, but I can’t imagine why anyone would want to move there, the pretty weather etc just doesn’t make up for it.

Unfortunately, fl is starting to be like Cali re home prices, they’re going up very fast in all the desirable locations.

Most people suck, people who do this should get punched in the d1ck, hard, repeatedly.

Colorado is full of them. My 2 stepsons hate them. They say that the imports are bringing their stupid way of thinking with them. The one boy said that in 10 years or less. Colorado will be screwed up as Commiefornia. My brother in law is a house inspector in Denver. He said the housing prices exploded. The oldest boy bought a house for $300,000. Was in it for 3 years. Sold it for $550,000. Bought another house for $500,000. Sold it 3 years later for $780,000. He now has a house on a mountain top with 45 acres for $720,000. Need a 4x4 to get to it.
