Yeah, I have a Power Cage in the basement and try to at least be able to bench my weight (210 pounds) and struggling atm. Got 3 reps up at 205 ( barely ) and felt weak. Been doing thread mill every day for a good 3-5 miles and try to get in the cage 2-3 times a week.

Not bad for a fellow old timer

I was a member of the 300 Club. Until I ripped the bicep muscle off the bone. :shakes head: Don't need a tread mill. I walk over 8,000 steps a day. Broke 2 Fitbits. :icon14:

That's not smoke. That's very cold air. Moisture condensing.

Wasn't feeling good when I got up this morning. Stomach wasn't right. :icon14: Went to work anyway. As the day went on. I was feeling worse. Came home and went straight to bed. In at 3:45, climbed out at 8. :icon14: Feel much better after a healthy chit. Think I had a mild stomach bug. :icon14:

Wow... I wish I was a member of the 315 club... most I did was like 255 and that's when I was 245 pounds. That's good that you walk that much each day... keep that up!

I use MFP ( MyFitness Pal ) to track everything that marries up to my Apple watch... best app out there.

Been there myself, until I received a labrum tear in my left shoulder :icon14:
After that, I would just do sets with 225.
Flat & incline bench, would do sets of 12-15 RepZ :ugh2:
Shoulder got better & I’d ease back up to sets with 275 :shakes head:
Nope, just 2-45’s per side & letter fly :tiphat:

Been several years since I’ve been in the gym, that wreck in January 18’ nearly took me out :wtf2:

I was around 260 lbs most of my life. After I hit 50. I decided I didn't need to carry that much weight. So i dropped down to around 210 to 215 lbs. Feel much better. My knees are thanking me.

jchammond 10-15-2020 08:15 PM

I’ll start back working out one day ;)
Gotta have the mind set, if you’re not focused & putting in 100% ... may as well just hang around the aerobics area & ck out the terd-cutters :yum:

I still run 28 miles a week and hit the gym 3 or 4 times a week. At 52, you use it or lose it quickly.

Would love to get back on the bicycle again, and do some 50 mile days, and a 100 mile day once a month.

I used to do that with diamond press grip. But heavy weights and maxing out is just stupid in general. If I lift anything these days I generally go light with more reps. But really I prefer using the inversion table for stretching and situps.

JARblue 10-15-2020 08:58 PM

Headed out to game night. Everyone have a great evening :hello:

I just built a new set of wheels for my bike. Installed new tires too and re-wrapped the bars. It's ready for some miles. Time to put the hybrid bike out to pasture. See if I can get back into my old 250-300 miles/week with 10000-15000 feet of elevation.

JARblue 10-15-2020 09:04 PM

Wow... that's a nice bike

Sweet bike! The last bike I had was a Cervelo P I used for Triathlons. Loved that bike. Had a few too many close calls with autos in FL and CA and decided to sell it. 😕

Very familiar with Cervelo's. Tri bikes in general are scary to be riding in traffic. I like to have my hands near the brake levers.

Wow...I’m impressed. That bike is also no joke. Serious riders only.

I used to joke that it's worth more than my car. That's my eclipse though, not the z. Didn't cost me too much though (about 5k). I bought a used frame off ebay and built it up from there.

It can add up quick. I built it in 2013. It still has mechanical shifting. Now it's all wireless electronic.

No more cables, easy to set up and it works flawlessly. Not too expensive anymore. It came out about 5 years ago.
