20 years, it had a good run and you def got your $$ worth outta it.

Could be the drive belt.

luckily it didnt catch on fire.. thank god.

Pretty sure the bearing just got thrown and it made the motor overheat. It happened before. I tore it apart and replaced it. Last probably 8 months which isn't to bad. Had the same smell as when I over clocked my first computer and melted the molex cables because the psu couldn't handle the wattage and toasted itself. First time I ever saw smoke rise from the upper vents of the case. "well that probably isn't good"

Very well could be. Not worth the hassle. It's tough to get things to dry consistently now, makes weird noises, and is slightly off center so nothing heavy can be done in it any longer. Time to move on.

We just got our annual sexual harassment and descrimination training videos from HR. Apparently calling guys and girls "Bae" is considered derogatory. If HR only knew the half of it....

I swear the applications team is literally just a bunch of line cooks who swear at each other every other second and drink on the job while stressed out 24/7.

You have to keep the smoke in the wires when it comes to electric power. The smoke in the wire is what moves the electrons. When the smoke comes out. You no longer have electric.
