Wifey was just telling me on what the neighbor posted on facecrap. The neighbor went shopping at the local Wallymart. Tried to buy 4 cans of pumpkin pie filling. The pumpkin pie filling nazi came over to her and removed 2 cans from her. Said that there is a limit of 2 cans per purchase. :icon14:

I did a little research. There is a late harvest in some areas because of the weather and the Wu Flu. There is a somewhat of of shortage until all of the harvest comes in.

What's next for 2020?

I got more wrapped up in hoses and fittings for my oil catch cans than what I paid for cans themselves. :icon14: $60 for both cans and about $200 for hoses and fittings. :icon14:

From what I was reading. Michigan wasn't affected. Seems to be spotty.

The questionable season likely is a result of too much moisture, particularly in June. Some pumpkins have rotted in fields, and bees necessary for pollination didn't leave their hives because they prefer dry weather. Last year's pumpkin pie filling shortage could be repeated this year, as well.Oct 1, 2020

Well....I got the cans of the good stuff. Gonna load the trailer and setup a roadside stand in PA! Pumpkin pie filling here! $30/can! No pushing! No shoving! There is enough for everyone! :icon17:

I'm easily that deep on my "I can do it for cheaper" catch cans hole :shakes head: Another couple Franklins and I could have had an admin or soho catch can/overflow kit :icon14: But now I have 20'+ of extra line in 2 sizes and a pile of fittings I might never use :icon17:

we needed something that rhymes with sickness Floof Mile :icon17:

I give it less than a day before DJ Bi-curious Betty finds a way to rhyme it with kok

Rock the slickness and get that kok-quickness.

BettyZ 10-09-2020 10:26 PM

These tags never fail to be informative. I always thought EW's painus was due to a kok allergy but if he/she/they/xe thinks mayo + dill is spicy... that explains so much!

I feel you. I easily spent $600 on fittings and lines for my many variations of catch cans. On the plus side, I now have fittings for anything else I'll ever need fittings for, ever.
