I have to ask: when is the last time you were driving a Z and something bad didn't happen?

:icon18:

:wtf2:

I drove it around when I left the shop Thursday without incident. Before that, it was ZS-carpenter's Z in MI. At least I don't think I broke anything on his car :ugh:

Sort of. Could have been worse. Every little bs thing that happens to my cars is like that. I look back and say, well at least it wasn't as bad as it could have been. So in a way, I am actually lucky with cars :icon14:

After a poor round of disc golf, I helped my buddy who drove us to disc unload a desk from his truck bed and then he gave me a ride to the Round Rock Nissan dealer to pick up some front fender liners (only dealer who had them in stock and I got them to price match ). Think I'm going to take tools over to work on it later today - I can pull it into my parents' garage.

I have 3 cars and none are operational right now.

Yesterday I took the Z out on the highway and within a mile I had an incident with a truck that had some debris fly out of their bed. I managed to avoid the box, but I got caught by a large plastic bag with some wet plaster or something in it. The bag grabbed my RH front fender liner and ripped it off along with my undershroud. When I pulled over on the highway, I found the fender liner was wrapped up in the plastic and stuck under the car. The undershroud and RH splash guard ripped off completely and were left back on the road somewhere (I called 311 to notify them). The LH front fender liner was left hanging and just rubbed against the tire while I tried to limp to the next exit :ugh2:

Considering I was expecting a flat tire and the bumper to be ripped up pretty good when I pulled over, I'll take these circumstances.

Still... it's fuckin :bs:

Damn. You need to get some reliable but pos truck to daily. Of course, if you do that, you’ll probably never have an unfortunate incident like this ever again.

Nice wheels btw, those nismo rims are still one of my all time favorite wheels.

For some reason or another; I had in my head there would be a bulk connection on wiring harness & I could drop the eng/trans right out the bottom :icon14:

Nope :ugh2:

Glad I’m not outside in the weather elements; as it rained 3 different times while I was in garage :ugh2:
Carefully taking all the connections apart & getting harness up & out the way, as 122k miles doesn’t help much on the connectors :icon14:
But it’s coming along, gonna try & strap A/C compressor off to the side...as I’m not really wanting to cut gas loose to atmosphere (like EW) :stirthepot:
I’ll find out tomorrow :tiphat:
