Madwi, good luck with the Z, hope there are no serious issues.

Everything looks like its in place and has clearance. Hope its something stupid like the license plate holder buzzing.

madwi 07-23-2020 03:01 PM

Has anyone tried those silicone license plate holders? Wonder if they are any good or not.

Ew has one.. said it adds 3 HP.

But seriously, I just use some speaker foam tape for mine.

KingZTX 07-23-2020 03:37 PM

Three horsepower? Im sold.

Been doing some interior cleaning today. Lathering vinyl/plastic and scrubbing it down to get any stains/dirt out of it. Used compressed air around each crack and vacuumed everywhere. Took out the WeatherTechs, scrubbed them down and then sprayed them with a black plastic trim restorer spray paint. They look great. So good that Im thinking about taping and bagging off the plastic trim on the side view mirrors to get them done. They look horrible and it annoys the **** out of me :rofl2: Haven't bothered to really touch the cloth on the seats yet.

Hope everyone is doing well today, drive safe!

A little outside the box thinking here. Order the craftsquare mirrors and fix the problem that way!

madwi 07-23-2020 03:47 PM

Chuck roast with potatoes, onions and a lot of garlic cloves. :yum:

Damn, I want them so bad. With that nice blue tint too  Unfortunately, I've dumped nearly 2k in the last few weeks so Im holding off. My next big push on the part list will definitely include the mirrors though. For now....plastic trim spray paint :stirthepot:

Randomly just found my pin vise set I was looking for a year ago. :icon17:

madwi 07-23-2020 03:57 PM

Any machinists/shop workers here that can snag me a few broken 1/8" and 3/16" carbide end mills?

Been thinking on a new grill, as my old stainless steel one is rusting out. :shakes head: Instead of a grill, been looking at grill griddles. Have 2 friends that have them. We use them at our Power Wagon meet.

Here's a 3 burner grill, with the BBQ box option, and a 3 burner griddle that I've been looking at. Also looking at one at Home Depot. It's stainless steel.

https://www.campchef.com/pro-90x.html

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Nexgrill...786A/310654538

Most of these are sold out.

My wife bought me a new Char Broil commercial series stainless steel grill about 10 years ago. I’ve used it about 5 times and didn’t like it, I prefer charcoal, anyway it’s been sitting in my garage fully protected ever since and it’s unbelievable how much rust is on the base of this “stainless steel “ grill :shakes head:

You can do more with the griddle I think. Grill, stir-fry, sear, do like a Japanese steakhouse. :yum:

Calbela's and Sportsman Warehouse sell the CampChef griddles. Those places around me show the griddles out of stock. The CampChef website shows them in stock.

I am making a couple of deburring tools using the pin vises I just found. I grind them down so I have a pyramid shaped tip and that gives me something that will rip the burrs off any kind of metal I am working on.

Bought another Sunex tall jackstand for the lift. Amazon warehouse listed it as used-good condition which means its beat to ****. :icon17: Some of the threads on the base were goobered up and I think someone tried to assemble it and cross threaded the first couple threads and sent it back. I cleaned up the threads enough to get it started and it zipped right on. $35 saved over new.
