Happy Thursday everyone :hello:

JARblue 05-21-2020 09:06 AM

Gonna build some low ramps for the Z this afternoon with my new circular saw :D

That way I can ditch those Hazard Freight jack stands I have; I'll just give them to someone I don't like

Hey EW, want some free jack stands? The price is right :)

Ghostvette 05-21-2020 09:12 AM

I found EW's 'hurricane proof' building....

Wilkie D. Ferguson Jr Federal Courthouse

Got to admit, it's a pretty impressive building.

Hmm... selling a product you know to be lethally defective in the hope that it harms the seller... there's a legal phrase for that; if only I could remember...

They are not the recalled model lol

I know the word you are looking for ... negligence. If deliberate I think it is criminal negligence? You're the lawyer; you should know this sh́t.

The business credit card statement was a negative $473 this month with all the refunds from cancelled travel and conferences. Now that's the kind of credit card statement I like to see :icon17:

I have difficulty cutting straight lines, even with the damn line drawn on the material. :icon14: Hell, I'm doing good to fix nail holes in drywall...

So we pay her youngest son to do the work. He built homes for James Engle here in KC and one of his houses took the top honor in the parade of homes.

Nope. It's a bunch of people that pick houses all over the country for their 'parade'

Why they call a cross-country road trip a parade, I'll never understand.

:rofl2::rofl2: Twice a year the builders have a 'display' if you will, of new homes/models/designs that is open to the public for the great unwashed to 'parade' through and gawk at places they could live in, if they made enough money.

Most of them start at $400k and go up to over $1.5M, so for most of the people in KC, they are places that are really out of reach. This area has a problem with affordable housing, everything that is being built starts in the range of $300-$400k. There isn't much in the $150k or lower range, unless it's in the 'hood or a duplex. :icon14:

There are several mobile home parks around... one was on the news last night, it looked like a dump with trash and empty (?) trailers. It's owned by a company in Cali, and the city has had it with the fires and police calls for service out there, over 400 in one year. :shakes head:

I'd solve it for them.... 'napalm, napalm sticks like glue/sticks to the Commie and the friendly farmer too..' :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

Then it's attempted murder but you have a decent defense of impossibility.

If they did fail, then you provided someone with a deadly device with the intent that it cause their death, and they did in fact die from the device. Like playing Russian Roulette and your buddy's luck runs out. Cut and dried murder charge.

So as long as I don't know about the recall I can give them away and hope that he doesn't get injured?

Leingod 05-21-2020 01:52 PM

New date to return to the office is now July 13th with rotating schedules. I might just proposition working from home indefinitely....

My overall duties aren't impacted at all.

Since you already admitted an intent for the stands to kill EW, no.

I quoted your murderous post and that, criminal scum, cannot be edited by you :roflpuke2:

Also totally irrelevant being as your intended "victim" gets his paychecks signed by Uncle Sugar, so your azz will end up in Gitmo - which actually is pretty scenic this time of year.

Don't forget to write! :hello:
