I'll get through it. It's beating the wifey up pretty bad. The Parkinson's doesn't help. :shakes head:

To top things off. The CEL came on in the Grand Cherokee the other day. :shakes head: Took the Jeep to the dealership today. They pulled a code out. It was for a leak on the Evap system. Can't find it. Cleared the code and it hasn't come back.

From the pic's. There is a nice circle on the radiator. All of the fan blade tips are gone. One blade is completely missing.

Wifey is getting all of the info before me. As I'm at work.

What get's me. I had the fan hub and ecu replaced back in 2016 because of a overheat condition. Had around 10,000 it then. It just turned over 50,000 on this trip.

Ugg, I wish I knew more about how all of your coolers are setup. Kinda baffling me how it got the CAC (aka Intercooler). It is normally in front of the radiator.

The tell tell sign was it chunking the belt off. It should never do that unless there is some kind of pulley problem or weak tensioner. If the bearing was gone in the fan hub he should have caught that. WTH!!!! can't find good help anymore. The fan hub is bolted to the fan pulley assembly via a large nut. Sounds like the bearing went out in the fan pulley.

Are they looking at the backing up accident too? Who is paying for that fiasco? Insurance I hope.

When diesel's break they are not cheap at all. I still do all of my own work on my truck. I just suck it up buttercup with my neck. The body shop that fixed the front end made a couple of little messes I have had to clean up. I have some hose routing to fix also. I haven't talked about the battery fiasco or the air bubble in the cooling system disaster. They did a good job on the body work stuff. The diesel engine stuff stumped them. Ugg, I wish they would have called me. It would have save myself some trouble.

The body damage is insurance from RVShare that the renters pay for. RVshare is suppose to refund the $1,200 towing bill too.

Every tho is a 6.7 Cumnins. It's different then what's in your truck. They share very little. Plus my engine is sitting backwards. The CAC is in front of the radiator if you think about it.

LOL, you would be surprised in what is all the same as what is in the 6.7 Dodge trucks. When I buy parts for my engine, I buy them from a Cummins dealer, Mamau Diesel. I can get them for a much better price straight from them. Dodge wants 250 bucks for a water pump. I can buy a new Cummins pump for 79 dollars. If it is an ISB, it is the same. They are industrial diesel engines.

I should have said that my engine accessories are different. The locations are not exactly the same. How long is your fan/hub assembly? And does it have it's only ecu?

Sounds like you deserve extra for pain and suffering.. negligent infliction of emotional distress.. bill the renters' wallets.. directly, no invoice needed.
