There are people who died shooting it. They dont expect the huge recoil when they fire, the gun kicks back up to the point where the barrel is pointing back at them... with their finger still on the trigger.... boom!
One girl she shot it and killed herself because her friends thought it would be funny to see her try to fire it...:shakes head:

I have a friend shoot my 6" 44 Mag one handed. He never shot a pistol bigger than a .38 before. We was at the range. I'm shooting my .44 one handed. Not an issue with me. Harry is bigger then JC. 6'6" 300 lbs. Harry asks to shoot my 44. No problem. He picks it up, holds it with both hands. So far so good. Changes his grip to hand and says that he's shooting one handed. Hmmmm. Squeezes the trigger and blood is flowing down his face. :rofl2: During recoil. The front sight nails him in the forehead. :rofl2: :rofl2::rofl2: There's 4 of us on the ground rolling. Harry put the gun down, walked back to his truck, and left.

I agree with the statement of the author of the article. Humans have won over the virus multiple times. Unfortunately we have to pass and go through the highest peak of the tidal wave or curve until flat line occurs. Read the past pandemic in history its always that pattern.

As I have learned History repeats it self and unfortunately this came in our time.
Be patient and do not panic. Medical science is far more advance now compared centuries ago.
Unfortunately viruses are also sophisticated and highly intelligent organisms that can mutate and transform its molecular structure and be resistant to an antibody.

I believe medical science is moving in the right direction. Pray to God and be patient. Exercise standard precautions washing of hands etc.

Exercise this two virtues

HOPE

FAITH

Hope (lat. spes) is one of the three theological virtues in Christian tradition. Hope being a combination of the desire for something and expectation of receiving it, the virtue is hoping for Divine union and so eternal happiness. While faith is a function of the intellect, hope is an act of the will.

Panic and Fear robs you of this two important virtues!

JARblue 03-18-2020 07:07 AM

I hope that everyone panics. I have faith that their fear will cause that to happen.

Is that how I do it, Zoren? Hope and faith are foreign concepts to me

Why would I pray to the same supposed omnipotent being that created the virus to save me from the virus?

Tl;dr: 18 month pandemic, multiple waves. Invocation of Defense Production Act. Degradation and possible failure of state/local gov't, critical infrastructure, and telecom networks. Significant shortages for government, private sector, and individual U.S. consumers.

If this has an 18 month timeline, I'm not just worried about the virus anymore. I'm worried about the people who lost their jobs 18 months ago who now think they're going to try and rob me. There's nothing dumber or more dangerous than a mob of scared, broke and hungry people.

Chuck do you agree that humans are far more sinister than the virus?
Mankind have annihilated more humans in history.

I knew when I mentioned the name of omnipotent One I get fired.

Have you ever thought that this crisis is the own doing of mankind because of our inequities?

I stop here...Because when all fails and nothing is ever certain. Those are the only 2 virtues I hold to survive.

Stay safe guys. Hopefully we see the end of the tunnel alive.

Dude, if the solution to mankind's problems was a god, we'd have a lot less problems. Any deity that has the ability to prevent mass deaths but doesn't because you don't spend enough time on your knees telepathically swearing allegiance is not a benevolent deity. Any deity who gives kids terminal cancer does not deserve worship.

If this lock down gets worse and goes longer than for 4 weeks. You will see mobs out roaming looking for food. Most people only have food for about 2 weeks.

Those of us in hurricane country have been conditioned to have enough food and water for a month, but then it becomes Thunderdome.

I'm not worry about the virus as much as the aftermath. :icon14:

JARblue 03-18-2020 08:05 AM

I'm hoarding viruses. That way I can set up a perimeter and infect people if they try to approach my house.

Regardless of the actual cause of the disaster, the real threat is always other people.

Chuck I sympathize with your belief and I wont go against it. I respect you.
I believe everyone has the duty to provide some sense of comfort and security in this difficult times. That is what all of us should do.

I had to sit down in front of my kids last night and I had to give them
Something...any sense of comfort to water down there fears. I just had to.

I work in a hospital everyday Im exposed to patients with flu and has not been tested for COVID19. But we the nurses, MD and other health professionals still provide care everday.

Like I said I stop there. Lets go back to fun times in the forum!

A virus cannot be sinister. It is neither good nor evil - it just is. Totally and completely amoral.

And the way it is, is the way God made it. ;)

I agree! What I meant or implied to being sinister is mankind. Humans has killed more people than the virus.

Thats actually what Im worried about the aftermath of the crisis in terms of economic meltdown...and we know whats next.
