He would have been fine had he gone with a reg post frame shed. That's what i thought he was doing for the first week or two.

If we don't ship a chit load of grain to china in the next week or 2 I might have to pack up some tools and go help him out.

bunk 01-20-2020 04:00 PM

I havent been following. Did he build the roof before the foundation?

BettyZ 01-20-2020 04:07 PM

New 3 piece oil cooler blockoff plate. Bent the edges of the aluminum so it fits nicely.

Try 14F tonight, and 30F tomorrow. You're having a heat wave. That's long sleeve tee shirt weather.

High level, 1.5” is not going to be enough cover on the outside of those columns. That **** is going to crack and ultimately break off.

8.5” of wood will sit around the 6” minimum thickness concrete; but the building will be bolted to the 20-6x6 posts that are cemented 42-48” in the ground before any more wood is fastened to it.
The 5/8” bolts are currently holding the structure suspended until the concrete is finished & drys 5-6 weeks.

I cut a plate in 3 pieces so I can vary the amount of airflow through the cooler. Got the idea from EW :ugh2::stirthepot:
