Spectrum will probably give me TV+internet for 6 month $99/mon promotional rate. By the time that ends I'll be able to switch back to DirecTV and get free 4K equipment as a new customer just in time for the football season :icon17:

Sounds like a great plan

We’re on the edge of the same weather system, it’s going to be interesting as to how this freezing thing is going to play out !

We have a chance for some sever storms later on this evening. So with that being said the Mrs and I will be staying in for dinner. So hope you all have a safe and wonderful Friday !!

Chance of a tornado too! We're about to see how symmetrical my AWD really is.

Like Jar, I am not holding my breath for too much accuracy on this one. If we get smoked, I have a natural gas generator that will run until power is restored. I just hope the interwebz doesnt go down. :eekdance:

madwi 01-10-2020 10:03 AM

Think I am going to whip up some home made mac n cheese to go with ribs. :yum:

BettyZ 01-10-2020 10:09 AM

Supposed to get 2-5 inches of freezing rain and then a tonna snow. Debating whether to move all the ish in the garage to the side and pull the Z in, or just park it in a treeless part of the driveway.

Had a cauliflower crust pizza last night. It was great. Multiple bombing runs this morning but idk if that's from the pizza or the two bottles of pinot noir that accompanied it...

Still calling for mostly rain here with a little snow/ice at the end of it sat night. They are calling for up to 4" of rain. Glad it warm enough, this would be ugly if it was all snow

Past experience?

After the second time. Wearing a flea collar now?

Rusty 01-10-2020 10:36 AM

Wanted to work on the truck outside this morning. It wasn't to rain until after 2pm. Well, when I got up at 8am. It was raining. Might have a break around 2pm, maybe.

So, instead of working on the truck. I'm going to get my driver license renewed this afternoon. Because I have a CDL. It's $118.00 for 4 years. The state jacked it up about a year ago. Plus I have to take my passport and CCP permit too. The state is switching over to the new Real ID program.

You must put a sign on the new garage. "Noah's Ark"....

JARblue 01-10-2020 11:23 AM

Anyone have a recommended fuel injector flow testing service company?

I'm looking at Deatschwerks. Looks like they are a bit more expensive, but probably worth it. Turn around is about a week. There are some closer places in Houston and Dallas where I can get service a little cheaper and a day or two turnaround, but I can't find a lot of information on them.

JARblue 01-10-2020 11:29 AM

On hold with DirecTV while they try to keep me as a customer. Offered me $45 off my bill for 12 months. I told them that just pissed me off even more that they are overcharging me so much if they can offer that much of a price reduction and that they never offered me anything like that before when my service was out for over 3 weeks.

I told them they are going to have to refund me at least 2 months of payments, upgrade all of my equipment to 4K, and give me NFL Sunday Ticket all without going under contract. I knew there was no chance. She couldn't do anything other than the previously offered discount. Bye Felicia :hello:

If you read the reports, Armageddon is coming to Houston this evening.

Of course if a tornado hits my house I’m really going to regret this post.

So those are your ribs. The picture keeps popping up on everybody’s reply posts but I wasn’t going back over the 100 posts I missed since yesterday to figure it out.

Ribs were OK. Great smoke flavor from new pellets. Tried Pecan this time and I really liked it. Mustard based sauce for ribs, not so much my thing. Never tried it before so I was curious. Back to bubbly, sticky, tomato based BBQ sauces.

Ex is coming by @ 4 to pick up the rest of her stuff - had half her belongings stored in my basement.

Came by earlier in the week for the first half. All was amicable. I mentioned I'll be changing jobs and would likely end up taking the train to the Loop. We live in the same suburb/have the same train station, so she says "Oh, we'll see each other on the train then."

I just stared at her and said "No, we won't." Lol.
