It just runs in my family. I'm screwed either way. If 176 is considered heavy, then I am just screwed in general. Haha

:iagree:

The overweight/obese metrics are so arbitrary. At 6-1 and 200 lbs I am considered overweight. I was 6-1 and 200 lbs at 14 years old lol. I played football and basketball as a senior in high school at 250 lbs in very good shape. These days I fluctuate from 220-240. Within a week sometimes. Depends on activity and diet. Should drop 20 of those lbs and keep them off, though. Regardless of what I do, I will be overweight or obese according to idiots

What can I say? I'm a dense guy. In more ways than one :icon17:

Yeah, I'm down to 6' 1 30/32" now without shoes in the doctor's office. My brother is the one who shrunk. He was 6'1". Now he's 5' 11". But he's 74 yrs old too.

In 7th grade. I was 6" 220 lbs. Played football, baseball, and raced motorcycles. Senior year. I was 6'1", 250 lbs. Played all 4 years of football as a starter.

When I got into my 50's. Decided that I didn't need to carry that much weight anymore. And dropped it. Feel great.

I still lift so that keeps my weight up when I try and lose it. Only light stuff like 10-20 lbs free weights. Anywhere from 10-50 reps depending on my mood. Just need to work on the endurance now - I want to start playing basketball again. I don't mind using the bench (incl incline variants) and my inversion table. But burpees and lunges get old fast.

Since I pulled the tenon of the bone on my right arm. I watch on how much I'm lifting. I'm lifting light, no more heavy weights.

One of the things I don't like is I get bulky when I lift heavy. I'm already bulky enough... Unless the muscle mass is necessary for something specific, I'm not interested, so lighter weights work better for me.

Btw... I had a laugh this evening. Put a cheap 14 mm standard 6pt shallow socket (1/2 inch) on the demon bolt with a couple of impact swivels and one 18 inch extension (LH intake removed). Put about 60% into the breaker bar and the socket cracked. Pretty much exactly what I expected :icon17:

Haha yeah.. I'm 6'4 and if I weighed 197 lbs I'd look like an overgrown pasty-white African famine baby. Only way my weight could get that low is chemo or heroin.
