What really gets me about this BS is that for the sellers, if they're using a freight service, it doesn't matter if the product gets damaged in transit so long as they 'reasonably' packaged it, bc a freight carrier (sorry) carries the liability.
When I sell a part on this forum, I package that mofo like a Faberge egg and eat the extra shipping cost due to added weight, b/c I want a good experience for the buyer and I care about my reputation. Almost anything you buy comes in a fitted styrofoam 'box' inside the shipping box. Amazon bubble-wraps books, for God's sake. That Seibon ships a hood less securely than Shanghai Fuijian Happy Lucky Co. ships a vacuum cleaner is, frankly, disgraceful. |

I've dealt with similar crap with USPS before. If the package gets to it's destination they don't pay out. If you refuse a damaged package, you're sol. If you accept a package that they put through a car crusher first, you're sol. Only thing it covers is if they lose the package entirely.
