Bro... I figured they had packaged the inside securely so I was like "well, that's what outer boxes are for." And there were no rips in the weak-*** cellophane cover inside. The freight guy and I were peeling the cello off and I was like "looking good, it's so beautiful, looking good, uh oh, uh oh, what the sweaty tugjob Jesus is that?!" Then him and I looked at each other like "well.. f*ck."

That really sucks. Since you opened it in front of the freight company couldn't you have refused to accept it? Did you file a claim with the freight company?

Ugh!! So sorry to see that bs, B :(

Hope you get some sort of refund of they pay for repairs. That just sucks

The packing list had a section on damages. First time I ever read one of those and thank God I did lol. If you refuse acceptance, you waive your right to a claim. I accepted it as damaged, with the specific damage noted on the form. The carrier will send out a damage inspector and then pay the claim to Seibon or THM, forget which.

Called THM before I signed and their customer service guy was very helpful in telling me what to do. Told him I wanted a replacement rather than a refund. I'm in a bit of a time crunch as I leave for a 3 week road trip in 12 days. He said they should be able to get me a new hood by next Friday. If that one is also damaged, I have half a mind to make a road trip detour to City of Industry, pick up a hood at Seibon's warehouse, and install the damn thing in their parking lot lol

Be sure & check your wheel studs; could have roughed them up too :icon14:

This the line we have to walk these days. You have to size up the situation quickly if you don't want things to go wrong cause it can happen so fast.

In my experience, for the most part, bigger guys seem to respond better to a calm approach. It's the little guys with a size complex that sometimes need to be put in their place with a more aggressive interaction.

Precisely. Anything I might use for protection is easily accessible in my home. The only guns in my safe are really old and cumbersome.

Sounds like you did everything correctly. It's a good thing you opened it in front of the freight guy. Good to see THM working with you to get it resolved in a timely manner.

Thanks. Let that be a lesson to everyone - if it's a freight carrier, inspect everything before you sign. And READ THE PACKING LIST. I would have rejected the shipment had I not read the terms on the packing list - and I have a J.D.

:shakes head: You know the saying: Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, and the third time I bury your *** in the bathtub you broke.
