Had them for a few years when streaming sports was near impossible. Was great for football and sucked azz for baseball. Somehow they decided that i was out of market for the team that was 1 hour away from my house. 2/3 of the games where blacked out

I've had Dish for about 10 years now and have only have one complaint. When they upgraded my old receiver, they wouldn't let me buy the new one as I did with the old one. No monthly charge and they sent an installer to put it in for free but I have to box it up and send it back if I cancel service. Not a big deal, I suppose, but, if I had my druthers, I would own it so I didn't have to bother with shipping it back. First World Problems. :)

I attend a lot of Astros games and it pisses me off when people don’t stop what they are doing when they sing the Anthem.

In my experience. If you hold onto your equipment long enough. By the time you replace it they will have already moved on to newer technology and don't want the old stuff back. I've never bothered to send any of my receivers back and they've never hassled me about it.

LOL, you have never had a DI voice in your face just millimeters away.
That ain't yelling, it's a whole lot of intimidation.

Yeah. I called about something (don't remember what) and they told me I needed to upgrade equipment. I asked the rep if I could send the old unit back to them and she said they didn't want it. It would be nice if they have the same attitude if I ever cancel service.

Anybody want a free Dish receiver? Just pay shipping. :)

Motorhome is rented out for the weekend. An undertaker picked it up tonight. He's taking it to Happy Valley to see a Penn State football game. What's funny, the motorhome was there last weekend.

Three foolproof ways I've found to cancel cable/sat service without them pushing you to stay a customer. When you're on the phone with customer service, you say either:

1) I'm a climatologist and the NOAA transferred me to the Palau Islands in the South Pacific.

2) I'll be spending the next three-to-five years in the care and custody of the federal government and I'm tidying up my affairs.

3) I've converted to the Amish lifestyle.

GF been complaining that the neighbor's not-unattractive daughter keeps giving me the eye when she leaves their house to go jogging - hello, yoga pants! So I bought some arbor vitae's to plant along the boundary. Started digging the first hole. Learned that the biggest damn murder-swarm of honeybees known to man had hived up in a rotten timber next to said hole.

On the plus side, so many stings = never having to worry about arthritis.
