Not with me around. That number would be slimmed down real quick. I doubt I could get away with it out there. LOL Here, it is business as usual. I used to train for mountain bike racing at the local park back in 95 through 01. On my rides. I used to have coyotes follow me through some of the trails. It was like cat and mouse. And me, the mouse. Used to see them every day at the power plant.

Hit 2 deer with my 95 maxima first one the car was only 3wks. old with just under 7k in damage. The second one the car was 7yrs old and it totaled it !
Last year I was coming home at midnight in the Z and was following another car on the 2 lane black top doing about 55 and thought about passing him but decided to just chill and hang back and sure enough a deer jumps out and BAM !!!
Hate those damn things

We worry about rabies in everything. :shakes head: We usually hear about 6 or 7 people every summer being bitten by a rabid animal.

I still look out for my neighbors. Unfortunately I don’t know if I can say the same about them.

I got 7 deer with this Dodge. 3 deer with the Dodge before it. 1 turkey, 2 dogs, and a couple of small animals with the Hardbody before that. My daughter got 3 deer for her score. :rofl2:

One guy I used to work with avg 2 deer a year with his truck. 18 deer in 9 years that I know of. I built him a nice bumper at Elliott.

There use to be a state DNR bounty of $25 per coyote but since that ended about 20 yrs ago there's been an explosion in their existence

We didn't have any coyotes at all. Then in the early 90's. They started to creep in. Now they are everywhere. They say the eastern coyote is bigger then the western coyote. Because of the food supply. I believe it. I've seen both. The ones around here are about 10 to 15 lbs heavier, and taller.

Come rut season. You better have your head on a swivel. I have neighbors who have hit turkeys, deer, bear, cows, and horses. I hit a cow with a motorcycle back in 75. Back road at night. Missed the first 2 cows. And hit the 3rd one. That's the first time I broke my left foot.

Where I am, we are just starting to see them come back.

During the spring/summer/fall, I tend to run circuits on my property for cardio. There is a fair sized hill behind my house that runs up into tall standing pines. Couple months ago, Novemberish, I was making that part of the circuit, and found the body of a fox. Body is actually too strong a statement - the head, pelvic bone, and tail were all that were left of it. At the time, I hadn't been aware coyotes were making a comeback near me, but speculated to my wife that might've been the cause.

Sure enough, about 2 weeks back, local paper posts about coyote sightings in the area. Good thing I don't have any pets!

Was he one of that couple's employees?

Update: I see now he had resided in one of their managed properties.

We've got coyotes here, along with foxes. The fox will sometimes come sit in the yard and watch us when we are outside. He'll hang out by the water retention pond and run off when we let the dog out on her run. :bowrofl:

The coyotes, well.... silence is golden and surprisingly, a .22 does a pretty good job.....;)
