The volt looked awesome in concept form. In fact, if the volt looked like it did as a concept, I may be buying a different car. But someone at GM went "Whoa whoa whoa guys, this thing isn't ugly enough to be a hybrid!"

Yeah, GM has a knack for uglying up a car really fast. Their designers come up with some cool concept designs and GM figures out a way to tone them down to cheap and mediocre.
