Had to go back and reread some stuff.

........................Tire 1.............................Tire 2
Tire size............295/30-19.......................295/30-20
Section width.....295 mm (11.6'')...............295 mm (11.6'')
Sidewall............89 mm (3.5'')...................89 mm (3.5'')
Tire diameter.....661 mm (26'').................. 686 mm (27'') 25 mm (3.8%) taller.

This is all very true,,,but can vary a bit from tire mfg. to mfg. / as much as 1/2” on widths & 1/4” or so on diameter’s

jchammond 01-06-2019 10:12 PM

My 295/30/19 Michelin PS4S’s are 26.15” diameter mounted on 19x10’s with 32lbs of air & my 325/30/19 Michelin PSS’s are 26.55” diameter on 19x12’s with 32lbs air

Custom rims, wheel tire packages

I just use a custom wheel backspacing chart & then perform the math for the Front spacing(hub face to outer wheel lip)...having the actual dimensions on tires do help to some degree,,,as they will actually grow in diameter after mount & inflation...some printed specs on tire rack & other sights are correct & some are off a bit.
That calculator you have is very thorough with showing actual bulge of tires pending the section measurements are correct & also account for caliper clearance.
I use a transmission speed/gear ratio calculator for speedometer accuracy & by how it affects gear ratio.
Most of my general experience is from actual hands on with different size wheel/tire combos.
Lots will fit under the Huge Z fender wells,,,it's just how the owner prefer's his/her look :ugh2:

Dozed off around 7:30 & slept 3.5hrs....not good.
Trying to get back to sleep; alarm goes off at 6am :ugh:

Using the tire spec's from the tire companies takes time to look everything up. I use that calculator for a quick look for tires, and to see different rim combo's. Also for converting backspacing to offset or the other way.

freezing rain here. I now know I need a salt spreader in my life. This tossing a scoop of salt is stupid lol.

This is usually my go-to chart & when calculating front spacing; just add 1” to the wheel width & subtract backspacing (example 19x9+0=5” backspacing...10-5=5” front spacing) as the mounting flange on backside of a 0 offset wheel is centered.
What makes tires difficult at times is not necessarily the dimensions being a tad off,,,it’s when they don’t list any dimensions at all, maybe either tread width or tire diameter :ugh2:
