Twin Turbo Build

Has anyone tested and checked crank case pressure when going boosted and what were those reading?

This is the off topic thread. Although there are several knowledgeable members that post here, you really need to ask that question in the FI section.

I have a local tire store that matches their price + 1 dollar. I don't have to drive down to Midway, Ga. to get them. I just need to make sure they get the initial heat cycle service done to them that Tirerack offers.

yea thats my fear with going with a NT01 on a 3800lb car. feel that they wont last especially being only 6/32nds tread and at 3/32nds they are full slicks with 2 cuts in them. they offer to shave them from new right to slicks.

I have not. As long as you do not have excessive blow-by it should not be an issue.

My car may have to be downgraded from daily driver status due to wearing out tires. We shall see.

T fittings for vacuum lines came in. I tapped into the BOV line on the front of the engine. Why heat shield on only one of the hoses? I had a chunk left over, had to put it somewhere.

Probably not going to make a difference as it should equalize but I would of run the source straight into the tee and had the two feeders branch off.

Ah...you just reminded me why I decided to tap the manifold twice. My boost gauge also required a smaller hose.

Felix_A 12-27-2018 03:31 PM

How did we go from 27 pages to 59 in a day or so??? Geez.

Anyway, Matco man is bringing my new toolbox shortly. My little blue cart thing served me well for the 8 months I had it, I just outgrew it so fast and he gave me full retail on trade and the new box was 20% off. I couldn’t resist. XD

That makes sense, I was wondering how you had all the same size lines.

Finished up working on both the Grand Cherokee, and PowerWagon. Did oil change, filter change, and rotated the tires. Between them, it took 15 quarts oil.

Each takes a little over 7 quarts with a filter change. My motorhome takes over 20 quarts.
