In many cases, that is true. Not with Adam. Adam is probably the brightest guy I've ever met. He took a failing company and turned it into a success, generating truly substantial revenue and obscene profit margins, and he's smart enough to value the personnel that really make him successful. He's the first CEO I've met where I truly respected him.

I threw it on Craigslist last night for $200 just for the heck of it. Wouldn't surprise me around here if someone saw an iMac for that price and thought it was the deal of the century. I am slightly annoyed that I need to buy new installation disc's since the machine is so old that it doesn't come with recovery partitions for me to wipe it completely.

I needed a rental car to drive home today and return the car in anahiem tomorrow morning. Less than 24 hours. Enterprise wanted $333.00 !!!!

I had enough of the 18+ hour days and the 'day on, stay on' while I was on active duty. :rofl2:

I spent 7 years at Garmin in their customer repair section. I worked on a little bit of everything from avionics to handheld units. We were 'graded' on how much we put out daily, weekly & monthly. I put more units out, with less than a 5% 'second return' rate, than the next 3 techs. :eek::eek: and I STILL caught hell because I wouldn't volunteer to work overtime....:shakes head::shakes head:

The current job won't pay overtime, so when I travel, it gets really interesting. There have been a couple of trips that I hit 40 hours before I got home...:owned:

When I was younger, I worked as a repair technician for a major Adult Toy company for about a year and half. I had to manage the warranty return desk. So I know what you mean about it getting kinda hairy at times... :icon14:

Amazing. Every area around me has been having warm temps and snow melting like crazy. The GF's house 20 miles away has grass showing. My city has 3 feet of snow still with a winter storm warning beginning tonight and going into Wednesday morning. 12-18 inches of snow by Tuesday afternoon followed directly by sleet into ice by Wed morning. Lovely....

There is no happy monday when my car is sitting in the garage on the battery tender and it is 20 degrees outside.

i'm 99% sure i'll never advance here. it's been made clear lately.

might just keep it for easy work and benefits then step up harder in the car sales side.

Have you looked into other organizations using a similar skillset? Sikorsky? Lockheed? Hard to say no to the paycheck in a technical field.

end of the day i'm lazy and this is simple stuff that pays pretty decent.

i am however getting fed up with some stuff though so once that pushes me over the edge i'll make my exit.
