hmmm not sure how i feel about this. parents suing Tesla due to a tech removing the speed limiter and 18 year old sone dies in 116mph crash. yes, if the tech just did this without reason and didnt mention it. sue for sure. however, it's a tesla. you can update and change everything in the car whilst in the car. it's not like it was tearing the car apart to put a new set of batteries in. or rewiring the whole brain of the car. you could have reset the limiter and if i had a dumbass 18 year old son driving a powerful model S i would be checking that limiter multiple times a day. also, 116mph crash doesnt seem outlandish considering 98% of cars in the Tesla price range, buyer group, performance category, all have speed limiters around 160+ mph. |
No one takes responsibility for their actions anymore. It's always blame someone else. And that attitude is incentivized by our litigious society. Why take responsibility when you can instead sue someone and potentially get a bunch of money that you don't deserve?

Think this chit started when they allowed lawyers to advertise on tv and radio. That's when the ambulance chasers came out of the wood work. |

i will say the one thing i would like to know is why/how the tech removed the "speed limiter" |
