I'll take this cold over 100f with humidity.

That’s why I don’t mind suiting up for the cold; as you can only remove so much in the heat :wtf2:

You would hate it down here from May - mid Oct. It's just one temperature (hot) and 100% humidity.

Ski trips to Chile in late July kinda soften the blow of having to deal with those ridiculous FLA temps.

I usually get a couple/hundred out of atm for drive thru etc...& that’s how I end up with it
But seeing how these 0% interest with a matched % of CC spending, I see how it’s easy to just use plastic :ugh2:

They’ve really gotten more secure with the chip; as I’ve had my card cut off before because of someone trying to steal funds & then you’re SOL for spending; unless you use CC or cash.
Happened to me on the way back from ZdayZ 2017’

yea trust me i know.

2 years ago got to about 2 hours outside of ZdayZ, stopped for gas, and both cards were shut down. bright side it was a compute issue at my bank and not fraud. so 2-3 days later it was all normal.

I do. Everyday. It’s the only way I can get a handle on what I’m spending. If I put everything on a card I’ll over spend and not know it.

I've been good lately. :icon23:

Spoiler 01-21-2019 11:39 AM

My wife and I have only used credit cards since 1998... And it is working well... only one invoice to pay at the end of the month. You get a detailed report/invoice of everything you spent. My credit card gives me back 2% on all purchases. Yes you have to pay it off every month to avoid interest, but that is a good thing.

I have paid for funerals, cremations, college tuitions, property taxes, new cars, everything and anything on a credit card. Right down to 50 cent packs of gum...

I do carry two cards with me at all times, as I have had my credit card numbers compromised ... wait for it.... NINE times in 20 years.. However I have never been responsible for any wrong charges.

I love credit cards... Cash is evil... and you never know where them stinky dollar bills have been jammed into...

It takes 3 at 50 to make 1 at 150. That's why you see more of the lower. :icon14:

smart man, you're like me. 2 credit cards, 1 I keep on me for points & cash back, the other is strictly for big time emergencies.

I have two main Capital One cards like you say.. One that I use and the other is the back up for if and when the first one gets stolen..

However, I do also play the hotel card game as well.. One year, I get a Holiday Inn card to get 80000 hotel points, then I cancel it before it renews. next year I get the Marriott card to get their hotel points, then I cancel it before it renews.. Each year I repeat and continue to get the free points. Then I can always stay for free in hotels anywhere I go. I have been doing this for about 10 years now.

You do have to keep track of this little game in a scheduling calendar somewhere though because it can get complicated, but it is also working well.

:p

The good news with it currently being -5 out is that the grocery stores are dead. Going to make a sous vide steak tonight and eggplant parm tomorrow.
