I wonder how nice the new company I am at will treat me tomorrow when I call and say I won't be able to come in since I can't really leave the throne room for longer than an hour at a time. I don't even have sick time to use yet.

Travel Tip #314 from onzedge™

When you are waiting for the elevator in a busy hotel and have two wheelie bags, laptop bag and what looks like half of your worldly possessions in tow -- stand back, away from the elevator doors to allow people who know what the f*ck they are doing to get off the elevator first.

Do not stand there with a blank look on your face as you completely block the way out of the elevator.

FPenvy 09-26-2018 09:45 AM

StevenSlice 09-26-2018 11:17 AM

Flu shots = Get your flu here everybody!

I havent had one in almost 8 years, since before they were basically mandatory to go to school. Have never gotten one since, and havent gotten the flu a single time.

Unfortunately on my line of work, I must have it. I have till end of this month to get it or I get suspended from work till I get the shot.

Urgghhhh! Urge to strangle co-workers rising!!

Let me get this right... you've worked as a buyer for this company for 37 years (longer than I've been alive), yet you still can't figure out that when you place an order with a supplier, you have to put the requirements for that order on the purchase order?! Your job is, pretty clearly, to sit in the front office doing nothing except creating work for me to do on your behalf!

Pull off the control knob and spray the metalic clip on the knob with electrical contact cleaner then on the rod itself

I had to take over an intranet site running on a W2k server. Spent a week trying to figure out how everythng worked..then see where everything was at in the DB..lol I really miss the simplicity of IIS5/6.
