It was a great weekend. Brother loved the pulls on the Z. Took him to visit his favorite Therapsts he hasnt seen in over 6 months. They were happy to see him, but I think he was happier to see them (they were hot!)...lol

I was a ASE Jedi Master Tech years along. When I left the company. They tried to keep my Certs because they paid for the tests. :shakes head:

Yep. He was all smiles. Hadnt seen him like that in forever. They werent happy with his situation - only 2x half hour PT sessions/week right now. They gave me some advice to get him re-admitted to their acute therapy facility where he will get 3 hours per day (PT, OT and Speech Therapy), so Ill need to follow up with that when he changes his Primary Provider. He told me if I could pull it off, he'll be walking and swinging a fishing rod in a week..hehe.

I played the original Demon Souls, but haven't looked at the rest of the series. I enjoy a challenge, but at a certain point, it felt a little too much like I was being a masochist by continuing to play.

Pathfinder Kingmaker is my current favorite RPG since Baldurs Gate II and Dragon Age Origins.

I have been in radio since I was thirteen. I have been a Ham radio operator since 93.
Mostly UHF. VHF SSB, moon bounce,Tropospheric ducting and meteor scatter are my fun things.
Are you a amateur radio operator?

I thought about it, but decided between firearms, reloading, tools and cars, I had enough expensive hobbies... :rofl2:

The Marines had a microwave radio that was capable of tropospheric scatter, it was great fun to watch the seagulls land on the feed horn and fall to the ground fully cooked.... :ugh2:

Heard of a guy who had a chocolate bar in his shirt pocket that melted and gave him 1st degree burns on his chest. The guy was in Army in Alaska working some type of radio. This was passed on to me from my cousin who was up there years ago. :rofl2:

A good HF radio will do that in CW (continuous wave, also known as morse code). I had a shelter that had two radios capable of 1000W, it also served as a MARS radio switch (telephone capability). I figured out the CB freqs and could talk to truck drivers anywhere in the US. The shelter was set up about 1/4 mile from a highway and I fried a dude's CB in CW. He was walking on folks and wouldn't let them on the channel. I warned everyone I was going to transmit in CW and told them to clear the channel for 5 minutes. I keyed up the radio while I was standing in the door of the shelter. I saw a semi scream to a stop on the side of the road and a guy bail out, with smoke rolling out of the cab. :rofl2::rofl2: No more problems on that channel... :owned:

:hello::hello:

I just got back from 5 days on the road with my 80+ year old parents. We went to Cleveland for a wedding...:ugh2:

The one day I had my sister in the car, I had 3 backseat drivers... It was all I could do to remember the Madagascar penguins... 'smile and wave, boys, smile and wave'....:shakes head::shakes head:

Not doing that again.... Mom would be all whiny when she couldn't have her McDouble and mocha frappe... I told her that crap was bad for her. Her response was 'I'm 84 years old, I can have what I want... it's only 500 calories'...:icon14::icon14: yeah 500 calories of sugar and fat.... :shakes head::shakes head:

I'm glad they are still around, but I think this is probably the last road trip they need to be doing. Mom wouldn't have got out of the car, if I hadn't stopped every couple of hours for potty stops and to make them walk some... :icon14::icon14:

This afternoon, I'm off to LA for three days... I return Thursday about midnight.... :icon14::icon14:

Years ago when CB radios was the in thing. I had one with a 300 watt amp in my one truck. Had a roll bar in the bed with 2 KC Highlighter lights on it and a short whip mounted between the lights. With the lights off, the amp on. I would key the mike and the lights would glow. :rofl2:

I know. It will break my heart when they're gone... :(

Part of my challenge over the last few days is that my younger two sisters are completely clueless when it comes to our parents' health. When my sister that's two years younger than me & I try to point out to the other two the health issues, they say 'well, they can't be that bad'.... or 'you're exaggerating' :icon14::icon14:

Yet, they will be the two that come in, throw the sister that lives there out and sell the house and contents and keep the money.....

We had a problem with our gun system and a system mechanic was working on it in the turret. I was standing over it as he kept mashing the range only radar button to activate. Then he says "oh, the radar isnt working properly. Must be a broken radar guide tube".. 90degree price of tubing that guided the radiation waves. It had a hairline fracture. I look down, right in front of my nuts, the radar guide tube... no wonder I dont have kids..

It really has.. I transferred here from the bay area 15 yrs ago, and it's worse. Down town, you think it was an open air flea market. I've seen 3 homeless pooping in the open in the past 2 months alone...orange county isnt as bad, but getting there.

I played a bit of cities:skylines, it got a bit repetitive though. I used to love playing RCT and Sims but they both have gotten a bit repetitive as well. I’m really hoping Ace Combat 7 will be good. I haven’t played one of those since the PS2.

When my mom went into the nursing home. I asked my brother if he wanted to take care of things. He said no. Then I said. Ok, don't question me on how and why I'm doing things. If you do. Then everything gets thrown in your lap. And I wash my hands of everything. You start from scratch. He never questioned me. Every once in a while. He would ask if I needed help. I said, no. Everything is handled. :D
