Thanks. Yeah it is a fair sized area. The whole space I built there is about 38 long x 18 wide

Forgot to note that Mrs Spoiler and I got to see the eldest of our 6 grandkids head off to her senior prom this past weekend.

(As you can see this one doesn’t take after my side of the family...)

This granddaughter is 18. We also have grandkids; 15, 9, 7, 7, and a third 7 yr old

I had to make a bunch of 24” squares of plywood and hopscotch them across the flloor but it worked

What other prepping do I need? All remaining parts are stockpiled in my bedroom. I'll load up my clothes and accessories the night before. Z is currently on stands being sprayed at 7am, 5pm, and 10pm every day since Sunday. Detailing the car little by little, and CF door handles are on.

That's about all I can think about doing. I'm not doing trans or diff. I don't have the proper tools to do it, don't really have the time right now, and the car needs other work that i'll just handle after this trip is done.

madwi 05-08-2018 07:45 AM

Maybe if I am bored at night while everyone is sleeping I will change the diff fluid for you.

I'll get it done soon. Just not before this trip. I wouldn't mind learning how to do it. It does look really simple. I just need time for it which is damn near impossible currently. I have a lot of tasks to do for work before finishing on Thursday.

Now to find time to do it between waking up at 5am every morning, working until 5:30pm every day, coming home and prepping a quick dinner followed by working another 2 hours and getting the fluids done while I still have light outside.

Guess what I did this weekend? Worked. Why do you think I am sooooo excited for a new job possibility coming up. hahaha. I really can't wait to stop working 80+ hour weeks.

Not trying to be mean or sarcastic. But man, it's tough doing any kind of real work (car related or not) when you're just beat to begin with.

I feel ya...

I would say this though.. if you got literally 20 minutes (10min for each) you could do it.. but if you're busy, you're busy. I get it.

The oil change I did this past weekend should have taken 20 minutes. I've done that countless times before. It ended up being an hour long ordeal. Doing trans and diff (just to be safe and take things slow) would take an hour or 2.

The car will survive without a fluid flush. 28k miles and not driven overly hard. I'm not to concerned. It'll get done at some point this season.

eastwest2300 05-08-2018 08:10 AM

dude, no need to apologize... we all have them, im mostly troll'n you anyways.. when you get here, I'll show you how to do it, if you pick up 2 fluid pumps (1 for each, and 2 different fluids), we'll knock it out..

JARblue 05-08-2018 08:23 AM

I use the same pump. I just make sure to run some denatured alcohol through it between fluids.

They're both gear oil ... probably wouldn't hurt anything if a little was mixed.

eastwest2300 05-08-2018 08:27 AM

yeah, I gotta get some of that denatured alcohol..

Leingod 05-08-2018 08:43 AM

Recommendations on oils?

3 qts of redline mt-85 for trans?
2 qts of mobile 1 75w-90 for diff?

I'll be cutting delivery time close, so i'll just go through amazon even though it's a few dollars more compared to Z1. I also got 2 basic pumps from Amazon in my cart.

eastwest2300 05-08-2018 08:46 AM

no recommendations here, I used mobil 1 in the transmission, and I've got motul in the new differential.

eastwest2300 05-08-2018 08:47 AM

just order it, so you can have it in time.. and you'll need a washer for the differential. I forget if the transmission requires a new washer as well.. do some research.

JARblue 05-08-2018 08:47 AM

Yes. Both transmission and differential should get new washers on both fill and drain plugs. So four total washers. They are all the same even though Nissan is stupid and gives them different part numbers.
