I do have a lot on my mind right now. Can't sleep because the wife, Chris, was diagnosed with Parkinson's yesterday. :( She has the beginning stages of it. Lost my first wife to cancer, and now this. :(

Please know that we are thinking of you and supporting you.

This sucks to say the least. You really never know what life has in store for you and those around you. The biggest thing I learned from seeing my brother go through his ups and downs is that you make the most of the situation and only focus on the positive! Ill keep you guys in my prayers.

Praying for you and yours...

Rusty 08-30-2018 08:38 AM

Yeah, it was a sleepless night last night. I'm about ready to go back to bed. Was thinking on calling off today. But then I would not get any rest.:shakes head:

Dude my heart goes out to you both. I am so sorry to hear that and know that I will be thinking and praying for you both. As Madwi said let me know if there is anything I can do, even coming to visit for a weekend and just hang out.

Much love and respect!

jwick 08-30-2018 09:14 AM

Sorry Rusty. Keep your head up!

Damn.. My heart goes out to you and your wife Rusty.

We can just hope that it never goes down hill and you both have plenty more years filled with laughter and Joy

It might be just me, but 2018 has been a year with alot of things happening with peoples health. I know about 10 people who have experienced a passing of a loved one, sickness, or serious accidents.

StevenSlice 08-30-2018 03:07 PM

Tommorow i drive down to get the Z, aswell as prep it at the wrap shop for a full weekend track event, for OnGrid for Charity.. be the first time ill have seen the Z in 3 months and have to cram 2 days of prep in about 6-7 hours. This'll be fun

Actually im more stressed than exciting haha. I have no real idea where to take it to get the tires mounted, or an alignment shop that isnt brainless in the Rowland heights area..

Bunk, you going to come to Fontana and say Hi sometime this weekend?

What times? Ill be working Satuday, but Sunday would be possible.

StevenSlice 08-30-2018 04:49 PM

Saturday and sunday, at Autoclub Speedway. Ill be there probably from 7AM till about 6 or 7 in the evening both days. There will be plenty of booths and lots of cool cars to check out if you come. Obviously finding me shouldnt be very hard, as the super purple car haha. But ill be either by the Nissan Challenge/Corner 3 Motorsports, or Element 6 Design booths if im not on track.

Plus if you come you can meet John possibly from Corner 3 and can make friends with him and he could be your contact for any parts you intend to pick up in the future.

Wheels too? lol... BTW, did you mount tires on your new ones? Are you going to put them on? those were nice!
PM me your cell and ill let you know either way.

StevenSlice 08-30-2018 04:55 PM

Yup he can get you deals on wheels also! Hes where i got the 57CRs from.

I gotta bring the tires with me down south. I shipped them home instead of the shop because i was originally supposed to pick up the Z last weekend. So i gotta mount them still unfortunately.

Pintsize725 08-30-2018 06:10 PM

Rusty, so sorry to hear about your wife. Keeping you all in our thoughts.

madwi 08-30-2018 06:38 PM

Drove the Z to work. I still really like this car after 5 years.

Today is a better day. When first told. It kind of smacks you in the face. And you're stunned. Your mind starts to race on what your options are and what the future will hold. It's not a death sentence like cancer. But it is life altering.

Finally Friday, Vacation Starts @5pm!
Doing some chores around the house tomorrow & then loading the wagon for a road trip north.
Hopefully the weather will be cooler vs. what we currently have around here now. Looking forward to the trip & being able to lend some quality work on a ~Z~
