I treated the snowblower to a new spark plug, and head gasket last year. I have to weld a new piece of metal on the bottom scrapper. It gone, completely worn off.

wish i could use one. my driveway is still unpaved but now that the GTR is home that'll change in spring.

and my dads massive driveway is all exposed aggregate and stained with in lays would get torn up by a blower. those inlays i am now tasked with pulling out to help re-level them all. been like 6 years or so a couple corners sank.

Hey all! Hope you guys are doing well. This trip has been pretty interesting! I was needing rusty's power wagon the other day - learned what Icelandic F roads are! I'm driving what's basically a Nissan Rogue. 27km up a dirt road, 9 river crossings in, I finally found one with banks so high and current so strong they gave me pause. My rental insurance doesn't cover damage from crossing rivers, so I turned around and retraced my steps. Come to find out 1) i tore off the undershroud somewhere along the way and 2) for that particular route, a much larger vehicle is recommended. No real harm done. Don't take F249 if you visit.

The scenery here is amazing, otherworldly. Getting some good pics. Walked on a glacier. Tomorrow I'm going to pet a puffin. That's not a euphemism, Frank.

I redid my driveway/parking area back in 2011. 50 yards of concrete. 6" thick, rebarred, fiber-reinforced, 5000 psi. The area in front of the garage door is level. So if I want to work outside. I have a nice level area.

Enjoy your trip. You'll have something to talk about for years. Take lots of pictures to remember on what you did. And the show the kids and grandkids.

:driving: Just before the water covered the headlights.

Old technology. The client has a really old email system that NOBODY has used in many many years, so none of my peers could help me, not even other Admins from big shops knew. Emails stop sending and receiving. I know very little about this system so Google was really my friend. Got me pointed in the right direction. Delete this, reboot that... fixed!

That reminds me I need to get my snowblower all set for the season, writing the check to the plow guy in the morning. :icon17:
Our Toro snow blower from 1978 is still going strong. the metal augers chew through any tossed at it and will throw the heavy **** without any issues. Our driveway is ~600' long so we have a service plow now but we gave the snowblower to the neighbor.

Look at it one way and it's a circle. Look from a different angle and it's a square. But you are really looking at is a cylinder. Life is the same way. Different points of view on the same subject.

So last week I pulled the wheels & tires and cleaned the wheel wells, about 2 1/2 hr. job. Drove it to work today, 20% chance of rain & you guessed it, it rained for about 15 min. about an hour before I left for home :icon14:
Won't get cleaned again till winter storage :icon08:

madwi 08-23-2018 12:28 AM

It's nice to see they are catching up. Do they allow Waze without being plugged into USB yet?
