18 fvcking years old in a 2006 Saab 4x4. What the hell was she thinking when she backed up?:confused::confused:

I spent 45 minutes on the phone with her insurance company. I 'should' get a phone call Monday from the adjustor. Hopefully, this won't too painful of a process. (ha....) I expect them to total the car because of the airbags.:icon14: Quick eyeball says passenger side rear suspension is bent, which means possible half shaft and diff repair, and probably a blown diff mount. I'm going to guess that the impact broke the hat off the fuel pump.

I'll have to go to the chiropractor sometime this week, I've had a headache all weekend from the impact.

Ugh, this sucks for sure! I hope everything turns out well for you. Car/insurance wise as well as physically.

That is no joke.... :shakes head::shakes head:

The local Z club made a run to Cole Camp, Missouri on Saturday. I made the trip via the interstate in my girlfriend's Escape.:eek:

At least I didn't get a ticket. The whole club got stopped in Windsor, MO and two of the folks got tickets. :gtfo2:

they're 1350 new.

still not sure if cobb is the way to go or ecutek.

Cobb offered a lot of additional stuff in my cobalt back in the day compared to Ecutek. No clue how that would translate into gtr territory though.

the upside of the cobb is they have off the shelf maps ready to go for fbo. also, you can tune on the fly yourself plus the TCM tuning is big for the GTR like resetting of the clutch touch points also auto relearn for the TCM as well.

ecutek seems to have more options like rolling launch but i believe cobb just added that. i did kinda like the bluetooth dongle thing on ecutek and you can tune it all on your phone.

Leingod 08-06-2018 09:57 AM

Ask Madwi before looking at the bluetooth. Apparently it had a lot of signal issues with other electronics.

may just snag the cobb tuner. guy is selling his used for 950 not like there's wear on it lol

saving 400 off of buying new.

Pull the trigger. It's only money. Can always make more.

Experienced this as well. I actually unplug mine when I'm not already in the car. It interferes with things like the range on my car key. Annoying.

First road trip in the GTI. Short one (~2.5hrs one way) up to Sedona and Slide Rock, but it was fun. Much more enjoyable than the Z (sorry!). Smooth, quiet, and ACC... yes please.

Haha.

I feel and act it sometimes! I am also enjoying an automatic transmission too. My leg thanks me, haha. **** sitting in traffic with a manual anymore.

If I could have kept the Z for a weekend car or something - maybe, but I couldn't. I'm not that rich. :icon17:
