Seeing Mt Rushmore was awe inspiring. Seen Crazy Horse too. That's going to take a long time to finish. Didn't make it to Deadwood. Ran out of time. Only spent one day in the area. Got 900 miles to go. So I'm looking at Thursday for being home. Think I'm done traveling for a while. Wifey loves the motorhome, but it beats the chit out of me.

Baronsmokes 07-10-2018 10:58 PM

Z Days are very far for me to go too.
I would love to drive the Dragon tale.If you ever come my way should try going to sun Highway in Glacier Park Montana.
Should be open by July.
If you have not experienced the beauty of this road you

should.https://youtu.be/9g3FEFeiGdo

You got what we call "Short Timer's Disease". That feeling where you don't care anymore and counting down the days.:rofl2:

My go to response to when people request things is "I don't care anymore". I have mentally and relatively physically checked out of here. Plan to leave early again today to go golfing.

Ah yes, the feeling of being a '1 digit midget'...

You're so 'short', you could repel off of a dime....:tup:

I remember those days, especially counting down the days to leaving some BFE location to get back to the 'real world'....:tup::tup:

On a similar note, the person I 'lovingly' referred to as 'the chief engineer', left to work in a law firm... :happydance::happydance::happydance: I'm glad I was out of town, that way I didn't have to go to her 'going away' party. :bowrofl::bowrofl: Hopefully, that position won't be filled for a long time, at least till we have an actual 'new model' to design. Right now, it's 'well, lets get a 'better' full size cart, make the box a little smaller, use a mac mini and 6 adapters to power a regular display'.......:wtf2::wtf2:

That is the reason why I either:

1. Make sure it’s not going to through smartpost or surepost.

2. If it can’t be guaranteed that it will not go through that process, I then choose the next shipping option. Granted if it’s not overly priced.

I HATE waiting for packages to arrive.

Amazon has forever spoiled me. Now I'm like "3 days for a package to arrive?!?! What is this - the 1800s?!"

JARblue 07-11-2018 01:36 PM

Meh... Amazon doesn't do it for me anymore. They don't offer anything except fast delivery now. Sorry, I don't need a bunch of eBay $hit quality products delivered to my door in 2 days. Hell, I don't even need them delivered on the same day.

Every once in a while I order some plastic clips or some other misc cheap crap. A $35 order gets free shipping. If I need it faster than 3-5 business days, price is generally not a priority.

The other day I came home to my $500 Martin Logan SLM center channel speaker lying on the concrete floor. Screen was lying several feet away and there were cracks in the bezel

So rather than check and see if it still works, I set it aside and decided to upgrade. The two remaining ML speakers acting as FR/FL will now be surround L/R speakers. The busted one, if it still works, will act as a center rear surround. Yesterday, I purchased three of the XL versions of the same speakers (for FR/FL/FC) along with a second 1000W subwoofer :D

Probably should have gone ahead and bought a new clutch for the Z. But ex-wife owes me $1500 in attorney fees that are already paid, so I'll just use that for the clutch

Joe is recommending the ZSpeed Stage 2 Street package. Trying to decide if I should get the 6 puck instead since I don't care about how it drives - of course the 6 puck is totally unnecessary for N/A. I will be going with the Fidanza 14 lb flywheel most likely (Z1 has one for less money, too).
