I do not agree with you on this one. I have run a Berk on 2 different 370s. It provides a decent tone at low RPMs. It has zero drone and it is quite loud at WOT. It also dramatically improved throttle response and delivers about 15 whp.

Leingod 03-06-2018 07:15 AM

So:

Berk
FI (If found online)
Motordyne

Loudness isn't bad. But I don't want to have to yell in the cabin for someone to hear me. Mainly the drone is what would bother me most. But idk how loud everything will be regardless due to the HFC's.

Exhaust choice is largely a matter of preference. Almost all the aftermarket systems have pluses and minuses.

That said, if I were choosing an exhaust right now, I would go with Fast Intentions, Motordyne or ARK.

This right here. Everyone has a sound they're going for, or a frequency which bothers them. The performance differences from exhaust to exhaust are pretty minimal - but for performance, FI seems to be top of the heap from every dyno I could find.

Leingod 03-06-2018 07:57 AM

Motordyne or FI it is. Those are the best sounding to me currently from youtube videos.

eastwest2300 03-06-2018 08:01 AM

go ahead and pay that FI and Motordyne price. :icon17:

eastwest2300 03-06-2018 08:02 AM

Hopefully something pops up in the for sale section. I'm not dropping 2k on an exhaust. If I can't find one by the time June comes around, it'll be back to the takata intake.

Chit... maybe I need to get my stuff together and head up too for this upgrade party.:tup:

I can't do anything until this house closes on Friday. I'm beginning to see why some people just say fVck it and go back to renting. Holy chit, the process is a nightmare, 'You need to provide a bank statement with no missing dates....' WTF?!?!?! I don't use the account on a daily basis, you morons... :shakes head:

'Where did the money for closing come from?' 'I sold bitcoin' 'NOOOOOOOOO, we must have paper trail........:inoutroflpuke:

I paid $700 for a full FI exhaust, in great condition. It can be done :) Of course, I also found FI Long Tubes for $450, so maybe I'm just lucky. YMMV.

JLarson 03-06-2018 08:14 AM

Also Lein, I think you're in NJ right? If you miss the date with EW, you're welcome to come down to PA and I'll give you a hand with anything else you need. Exhaust is easy.

Well if you see any more of those kinds of deals, let me know asap. haha. I just need them to be resonated. I can't stand obnoxiously loud setups. My hearing sucks as is.

Leingod 03-06-2018 08:17 AM

And seriously Ghost. Feel free to join us. It'll be a weekend long project of random stuff and taking the cars out for photos afterwards. Looking at an 8-9 hour drive myself.

eastwest2300 03-06-2018 08:21 AM

I have a touring model. So most electronics are screwed from the get go. Feel free to take a whack at a backup cam if you'd like though. hahaha

eastwest2300 03-06-2018 08:21 AM

I'm gonna do the remote start on my GFs honda fit (eventually).. she's hasnt earned it yet though... :ugh:

ahhh thats right, Mr. Madwi, did mention that.

Leingod 03-06-2018 08:23 AM

I will be picking up a 3rd brake light though. So wiring for that will be easy enough.

eastwest2300 03-06-2018 08:23 AM

did Mr. Madwi mention to you, I'm a little OCD/anal retentive with my work? I am.. I hate to admit it.. but then again, i want the job done right the first time, so there wont be a need to go back and do it twice.

Leingod 03-06-2018 08:26 AM

Project list currently stands at:

Diffuser installation
Side blade installaion
HFC installation
Clutch assembly installation
Vinyl wrap B-pillars
3rd brake light installation
GT-R button install
Figure out the horrible vibration in the hatch
Look at body panel gaps and figure out what the hell happened

Working on getting:

CAI - Takeda
Exhaust - Motordyne first, FI second (used only)
3rd brake light - any recommendations on best place to get?

Same and same. So no worries. Hence why the body gaps in the hood and rear hatch are driving me insane.

You're talking about the very bottom of the bumper, small cubed light?

Amazon has a $30 one and an $80 one. No clue on the difference. Any ideas?
