How much do you tip your barber / haircutter?

IMO if you go to a regular barber, the $5 or 20% rule should be just fine. If you go to a higher end salon or something, tips are going to be commensurate with stylist experience and really whether or not you actually like them.

Typically 20% works for men. If this was LA or NY you might tip more at a high end salon, but otherwise 20% works.

I could bump it up a little, but I also handle her husband's business accounts, and take good care of them, so we all know each other pretty well. She is also famous for canceling and rescheduling my appointments, typical hairdresser, they are like food and beverage people, march to the beat of a very different drummer. Schedules? meh, whatever
