Sup peeps!!!

Masterbeatty 10-28-2017 10:15 PM

Lake taho sounds really nice right now. It is still balls hot here in san diego. I cant even take my son to a pumpkin patch without him getting over heated in a costume.

Masterbeatty 10-28-2017 10:16 PM

Also all the unfortunate wild fires are really starting to decrease the air quality to where my sinuses are crap and i don't want to go outside.

It has been rainy and in the mid 40s here. Maybe we can split the difference between the two :icon17:

Actually, I know it's good. Because it used to be open around the pipe coming down the wall behind the old stove. I patched the gyp board and taped and floated it less than a month ago. Gotta love rework (I fuckin hate rework!!) :shakes head:

Got the dishwasher cleaning all the dishes that have been boxed up or sitting out. The cabinets are still a little dusty from the construction, so they're getting cleaned before each load.

How does it interface with existing wired-only network gear? Can I plug it into an existing wired network router or firewall rather than straight into the modem?

I don't know why you couldn't. You would only be limited by what came before it in the chain.

However, each pod has a wired thru-put. Unless it's for security reasons, I'd plug right up to the modem and send the original wire out the other side.

I see it now in the tech specs. The primary uses in/out for WAN/LAN, but additional pods use both as LAN ports. And yeah, definitely for security.

I did a full factory reset on this old router and it seems to have fixed my issues. I'm still interested in the mesh, but at least for the time being my speed is back.

JARblue 10-29-2017 08:33 AM

I've also got gear that I have already wired (such as the TV). And to keep the wireless traffic to a minimum, I would prefer to continue to use them wired.

When in doubt, reboot. When that fails, hard reset. Works 95% of the time.

It is a stuffed toy dog. We attended a gala event at the Sacramento SPCA last night and the surgery suite in which Kate operates was on the tour...
