The car goes into storage Sunday and here I am debating on buying parts already...

Leingod 10-27-2017 07:46 AM

Crap. Someone remind me to buy dryer sheets to shove into the cabin for storage. And steel wool for the tail pipes.

DeliriousClam 10-27-2017 08:17 AM

I apparently have some insane battery drain going on. It's dropping about a volt a day. I'm assuming it has to do with the stereo system but who the hell knows

A quick check is to disconnect the cap. It looks like you are running about a 2 farad cap on your sub. Since the sub has a direct connection to the battery (or at least should) and the cap is tapped into that line, with the other side to ground to keep from killing the alternator, it's a logical place for the drain to happen. It's a PITA to have to connect/disconnect the cap every time, but if that's the source, you might have blown the cap.

Oh... and beware the voltage lurking in undischarged capacitors... it will knock you on your azz...:rofl2:

Bypassed the capacitor. It had a dent in it :icon14: time to see if that fixes things
